I ordered as a replacement for my CP conga head. I actually ordered 2 different times and both heads would not fit under the rim. They appeared to be "flatter" than the head on the drum and I could not fit the rim over the head. I was not about to bend the rim to force the head on. After ordering and returning 2 times, I ended up ordering a replacement head from a reputable online music store and the head was perfect. Here is the most interesting thing - the head from Amazon has the CP logo but NOT the LP underneath as the picture shows. The head that I received from the music store that does fit has both the CP and LP logos. Someone at Amazon is trying to rip people off with a head that is supposed to be a CP head and is not. Yes I paid $20 dollars more to purchase the head at the music store but it was well worth it because it actually fits. Believe me, do not waste your time and money with these heads. They are NOT the real thing and the picture is a complete a total lie.

the rawhide is okay quality, expected for price. this didn't fit my 10" conga, though as the wire rim of the head was a much larger diameter than the rim of my conga and thus wouldn't fit under the rim! disappointed. Check the size of your rims first, not just the diameter of the bearing edge of your conga!
