Now that I own drums that are actually older than I am I have a new found interest in keeping them in the best working order I can. Having vintage gear I'm finding takes maintenance I should have been keeping an eye on even on newer gear. That said, I purchased this when performing some TLC to a vintage Pearl President snare. I removed all the hardware, re-wrapped the snare, cleaned the hardware with Barkeeper's Friend "Foaming spray", then put it all back together. I worked in the lube to the lugs and the mechanical parts of the snare throw as well. The snare sounds as good as it did before of course, however, now it is much easier to tune! I'll be applying this to all drums as I change out heads from now on.

I have played drums for 18 years and it always amazes me when I find a product I never knew I needed that becomes an absolute essential. After playing at a venue that had its own drum set and could not afford a new set, I set out to upgrade them with better care and accessories. I noticed the lugs were hard to tune so I researched this and decided to try it out. Needless to say, it was a perfect solution. I now use it regularly.

I bought this hoping it would slightly help my lugs on my set. It exceeded my expect ions greatly. I have a mid 2000s Export kit and I bought a torque key awhile back. I had always had trouble tunning and the torque key was virtually useless since not all tension was right from lug to lug. So I cleaned each lug, applied a drop or two, and it was so simple to tune 'em. If you're even having a slight problem with your lugs this will definitely help with the problem.

OK THIS THING IS ONLY ABOUT 0.5 FL OZ. I APPLY IT ON 32 LUGS WITH 1 DROPS EACH LUGS THATS THE MINIMUM YOU CAN PUT NOT LESS.IT SMELLS LIKE CRUDE OIL BUT IT LOOKS LIKE ITS VERY DESIGN FOR DRUM LUGS THAT THEY MENTION VERY WELL,IT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL STAY THERE FOR A LONG TIME.BUT THIS THING WILL VERY WELL WORKS WITH GOOD DRUMS WITH GOOD LUGS, IF ITS CHEAPER DRUMS LITHIUM GREASE WILL BE FINE.HOPE THIS HELP!
