Never even imagined that these things even existed but they do!! Easy to use and extremely durable, I highly recommend them! I’m a huge Star Trek fan and I was so fearful of losing these pins like I have lost others in the past. These solved my problem for sure!

Great item. Works beautifully. Holds my pins securely. I have to warn you the set screw is very small. Don't drop it. These are very well made. I would recommend them to anyone worried about losing their valuable pins.

I grabbed these to keep pin insignia on Girl Scout uniforms for my kids, age 9 & 5. They’re awesome and I’m so glad I’ve found them! They are a bit fiddly to get the set screw in the pin back, but loose enough to slide over the pin itself. Do measure your pins carefully and choose the right size. When in doubt, order the wider locking backs. I measured the length of our pin backs before ordering, but I expected that the uniform material would be thicker than it was. As a result, the pointy part of the pin sticks through the locking back. However, I was able to lock the pin back in so that the point is not exposed all. Unfortunately, this made the pins loose enough that they would spin around and wind up all crooked or upside down. I already had some rubber pin backs, so I was able to trim those with an exacto knife and use them like a washer between the uniform and the locking pin backs. Now the point is covered AND the insignia are snug enough to stay right side up.The pins are SUPER-secure. My older kiddo wore her vest through about 6 hours of carnival rides and all sorts of other fall fair activities and her pins didn’t budge. They ROCK! Get these and never have to replace a membership pin & disc again.I’ve shared the link with all the other parents in our troop, and I’ve got plenty to get us through scouts without loosing hard-earned awards or pins. If you have any sort of scouts or other uniform that has insignia pins, you NEED these in your life.

The Good: I purchased these rather than the longer ones as I use these to hold pins on the front of my baseball cap and want the most non-obtrusive as possible! Seems like they will hold much better than the old standard metal or even rubber pin backs! They were long enough for all my pins without the tip sticking out. I think I made the right choice with these smaller set. I don’t have any Disney Pins so I can’t comment if they work with these pins as mine are just the standard pins. All the 60 pins screws threaded easily into the aluminum pin holder bodies. The Bad: nothing truly bad but a few things I will comment on. The holders are aluminum and the screws are iron metal. You want to thread the screw into the body before placing on the pin itself as it the holder bodies and screws are too small to try maneuver while putting on the pin itself. I used a screwdriver magnetizer to magnetize the enclosed miniature Allen wrench that enabled me to pick up the tiny screws with the magnetized Allen wrench and place on the end of the wrench. I also used a smaller needle nose pliers as the polished aluminum pin holders are very slippery and easy to drop from your fingers. If you drop one of the screws in carpeted floor good luck locating it. They are iron metal so you can try a magnet if needed to find a dropped screw. Once I did the initial bag of ten I decided to assemble all 60 with the screws so I wouldn’t have to try and assemble in a hurry.Overall I would recommend these pin holders!

Most badges/pins now have the short pins sticking straight out of the back, rather than the older, more fiddly safety-pin kind of arrangement. That's great, they sit flush against whatever you put them on. However, the backing-pieces for some badges are useless at actually holding it on, especially the rubberised ones. So, these provide a simple, robust solution meaning that you won't lose your precious badges: I've replaced all my backings with these, and it also stops/reduces the amount that the badge can pivot around too.The only, tiny caveat is that, depending on the thickness of the material you have the badge mounted on, there may be a very small amount of the pin protruding from the end of the metal collar. However, they are not that sharp, but if you have badges on a pocket that you use a lot, it's something to be aware of (not an issue for me, as I never use the top pockets on coats, which is where most of mine are). I guess you could move the metal collar closer to the end, to counteract this. One tip too: It's much easier to start the small grub-screw in the metal collar if you first put it on the long end of the hex-key. Then it is easy to align it with the threads on the collar, and screw it in by maybe a turn, to start it off, all using the hex-key to hold the screw. After this, you can put it on the badge-pin and finish locking it on.
