These pin backs are always amazing at preventing enamel pins from falling off. I have these on a few pins on a bag that gets used frequently, and there has been no movement of the pins or backs since I started using these. You will need to put each little tiny locking screw in the pin backs, so be aware of that. You do get the tools you need included.

I will never lose another pin on the road in the wind. Locks the back on w a small Allen head set screw. Won’t vibrate or slip out. Secures treasured travel memories and achievement pins.

These pin backs come with a couple of tiny little hex keys and stud bolts to secure the back to the pin. It's pretty easy to figure out which way things connect up.It sticks out about 2 mm further than a typical butterfly clasp pin back, but the cylinder seems less poky than the butterfly wings, if that makes sense. In typical usage--ITA bag, id lanyard, jean jacket, whatever--the difference in size is negligible.They work perfectly and are so much more secure than other options.

I like putting pins on my backpack, but have a problem with them getting pulled off when I pick it up or brush against things. These really securely hold the pins in place and I feel confident that they won't be going anywhere. I wish that it included a little pictoral instruction sheet to show the correct orientation of the screw and the post. It's also easiest to start the screw when not trying to hold the post against the pin back since they're incredibly small and fiddly. It would also have been nice to have a couple extra screws as they are very easy to drop and lose.

The black screws are really tiny so I suggest you put them on the tip of the L wrench like I did. Once it is in, it’s pretty easy to screw in.
