What I really like about these M2 heat inserts from ZWMSSLL is that they are made so well. When I am working with micro parts like this, I need them to be clean and precise. These are both. They come in an easy to reclose bag with the dimensions you need on the outside when designing with these. You can see from my photos how clean these are. The fit with my other M2 hardware is exact. The only thing you have to be aware of is since they are so tiny you will need a very small heat insert tool to work with them.

These inserts work very well.I have used heat set inserts intermittently for several years with results being good and bad. These have a smooth part that allows you to fit heat-set prior to applying heat so you do not need to hold the insert and heating source at the same time.Only real issue is making the hole for heat-set correct. They have a drawing with dimensions in the pouch so that is very helpfull. You DO NOT want to buy cheapo inserts that have the gripping surface at each end, These work very well.A Heat-Set insertion tool is worth the money as it guarantees the insert wont position improperly.

Nice quality and accuracy. Screws fit in perfectly. Inserts hold well in 3D prints

They are easy to install. Once installed, the inserts stay firmly in place. The brass construction feels solid and reliable. Having 60 pieces in the pack ensures I won’t run out anytime soon. The price for 60 inserts is very reasonable, especially considering the quality.

I purchased heat-set inserts a year ago and had been using them in my prints. I have been a little disappointed to find that they just aren't very secure, which is a problem because I print almost exclusively functional parts that need to take a bit of abuse.Turns out, I've been using inserts for injection molded plastic this whole time. The teeth are set parallel to the screw rather than at two different 45 degree angles like you see here. It makes a WORLD of difference, especially for the inserts tendency to pull directly out of the part. I am extremely happy with how much better these work, I will probably end up tossing the other ones because I just can't imagine using them anymore. They're also cheap and arrive quick, really nothing to complain about at all.

This is a great set of threaded inserts. I used a regular soldering iron in home to use these in PLA 3d prints. It works great and does not budge once inserted. It also fits all regular tripod screws for cameras etc.

These are good heat set inserts. They're accurately and consistently sized. Plus, they have a slightly more aggressive teeth than some of the cheaper ones. I picked up the shorter 1/4"-20 size to use with 3D printed parts for photography and tripods. In the past, I've only used the smaller metric ones. This larger size needs higher temps or a larger iron. Once completed, a 1/4-20 screw fits perfectly into these inserts, with almost no wiggle. Also, I like that ZWMSSLL publishes the precise "d1" step size, so you know what size hole to design for. In this case, that listed size is 7.15mm, and I measured 7.11mm. It also helps that these inserts are so consistent. And, I like that the package says that no lead or cadmium is used, so at least I'm not poisoning myself from the inserts.
