No sharp fret ends but some frets I had to level. The neck is unfinished so you have to sand it with 1000 to 3000 if you wanna leave it without paint. The heel is 56mm but each guitar body neck pocket is different so you must fit it to your body. (This is not a baritone conversion neck per se) If You think you are just gonna bolt it on to your start, tele, etc and it will give you the correct scale length you are wrong. I had to move the bridge about 1.5" to 2 " inches back so it would measure the correct 30 inch scale length and intonation (this will depend of the guitar body you're working with. ) no big deal in my case because I was converting the body I used from tremolo to a hard tail bridge. If you do not have any skills with working on guitars ,wood working, mechanically inclined etc. or don't wanna do body modifications to your existing guitar body get yourself a real baritone conversion neck like the ones that fender sells with those it's just a matter of bolt it up and you will have the correct scale length that's advertised but keep in mind those conversion necks are 300 plus dollars.

I bought this to build a baritone partscaster and so far it has certainly exceeded my expectations. All of the frets are perfect, there’s not one sharp fret end, and they’re all level. The wood the necks made from is a very nice wood that’s sanded very well. It is unfinished wood but it is so smooth straight from the box you might be able to play by doing nothing to it. Overall it’s incredible for the price.

Used this 30” neck on an old strat body to make a bass VI, fit perfect just had to relocate bridge to get to 30”One block had a hairline crack in it but you can’t feel it or notice with strings on.Frets were good, just slightly sanded the edges

The neck came in a timely fashion with no damage and was actually pretty decent quality. No polishing needed nor any dull, jagged or sharp frets that needed correction. However the scale length does not fit most tradional body styles so if you're purchasing this with the intention of building your own baritone, you're probably going to want to look at a shorter baritone scale. This seems to be for replacements on bodies that were specifically designed for it and not something that can be interchanged like other standard length necks

Some cosmetic flaws, but the neck is solid and the fretwork is nearly perfect. Great value for the money. It is raw wood, so you'll want to finish it. The only other thing to be aware, although this fit my neck pocket perfectly, the heel is a tiny bit thicker and quite a bit longer than usual. Not a problem, but might be good for the buyer to know.
