Product looks good, and any self respecting musician that wanted to use these part to upgrade the appearance of their axe would go for the black on black combo. However, the knobs come glued into place and can’t be removed to use the knobs and plate on the factory electronics ,, very disappointing to know that detail was left out.. I mean who wants to use electronics less than factory quality .. I could see if it would have been an upgrade but not a downgrade..

Basic, decent looking VVT JB control plate. The description (in general) is wrong - although there are 3 pots, only one has the tone capacitor, the other two would generally function as the volume controls (1 for each pickup) - this is the standard configuration. However, you can modify the wiring to suit your need or preference. There are numerous wiring diagrams online, and I would suggest referring to them to make sure you get everything connected properly. Search for "jazz bass wiring diagram" and you will get the details. Deducting stars for error in description, not for the product itself. I would give 4 stars for the product, as the pots are generic, and for about $5ea, you can get high quality ones, but that defeats the purpose of an inexpensive pre-wired harness.

Ok so you do have to solider a bit. But it’s minimal and really easy. This was for an old bass that i found someone had robbed the guts and left it for dead. This had it up and playing in no time. Looks good and fit perfectly onto the existing mounting position.
