Placing catappa leaves in your crab's habitat is a perfect way to create hiding places for your pet. They will play under them and carry them to their home.

My crabs love these. They never last more than a day or two. They're big and worth the money in my opinion.

Horacio, my hermit crab started using the leaf to make a hiding spot within the first hour. He seems to really enjoy these leaves.

For whatever reason, our 3 purple pincher Hermits love to carry the leaves around, use them for cover and munch on them when they are bored and watching television. They don't seem to care if the leaves are crushed on arrival or not, they love leaf litter. Just a bit of advice, if the leaves get wet, remove them from the crabitat about a day after when you give them new salt and fresh water as well as food refresh and throw some new ones in. Otherwise, flukers has been pretty standard and reliable.

The hermit crabs enjoyed the leaves but due to the poor packing, the order came with substrate sand placing on top of the leaves. This caused the leaves broken into small pieces.

Leaves wet all broken — some worse than others. Buyer beware. Hermit crabs seemed Tom like it the first night, but they have been burrowed under their sand since. If they arrive while, may be great, but it seems this seller does not package them well.

The moment I put one of these into their cage, both my hermit crabs attached themselves to it and ate the whole thing.
