I had misplaced the headrests for my rear seat in my pick up. I needed them to attach a rear car seat cover so I had to come up with something else. These dowels were the perfect match for what I needed. I capped them off with Rubber caps and they look great besides supporting my new rear seat cover.

I am using these to make a actual product. I inadvertently used one of the rods without verifying it - wasted ~4 hours of 3D printing and some really expensive filament. Only one rod was okay - the other 3 have varying degrees of scratches. I may be able to use one more of them. They were packed okay - this damage seems to have been prior to shipping, as the inner plastic bag shows the damage - as if someone just tossed them onto a big pile and the sharp ends nicked the acrylic, or ?...Also, NOTE: these are 300mm long, not 12" - some people just aren't good at math. They do appear to be roughly 5/16" dia., although it varies from ~7.8 to 7.92mm.

The rods are advertised as 3/8” (0.375”) but those delivered were substantially oversized at about 0.387”. While that might not matter for some uses, it required careful machining to get the rods to the smaller advertised size that I needed.
