At first upon opening the package, I thought it was too small for a lap steel guitar and I was going to return it. But then I decided to give it a try and it worked. The key was that I used a regular guitar bridge, and that matched up nicely to this two inch wide nut.

I used this to replace the stock plastic one on my cheap Rogue lap steel. Perfect fit and better tone than plastic.
