I bought this to help with flipping a Fender Starcaster Acoustic guitar I recieved as a gift from Right hand to Left. As any left hand guitar player knows, conversions are far from cheap and neither are the basic guitars. Most places don't even stock parts....special order only with that awesome special order upcharge. Well, I did some reseach and found this Graph Tech nut and read some reviews and though I would give it a try, and for less than $10 it's way cheaper than a shop's special order charge.The nut fit great other than it was too short. I had to cut a piece of plastic out to raise it up so the cords didn't buzz on the frets, but that was fairly simple and took about 5 minutes. Once installed and the guitar was tuned, I would say that I am very happy with the results.I can definitely tell a difference from the original nut. The low E is deep and clear and the high E is vibrant and crisp. The notes also last longer and seem to have more quality to them. I am very happy with the end results even if I had to to a little work, it still saved me $30 over the local shop price.
