This was the second tagine I purchased from this seller. I purchased this tagine and fully returned it with zero use after using the first one and receiving a crack in tagine after the second use.The seller includes piece of paper with each tagine warning of cracking. It is poorly made product and the seller is aware. Returned it for a refund, not only did I have to pay for shipping back but the seller has the audacity to charge a 50 % restocking fee on each item on top of that. So they keep half of the money even though they sold you a terrible item and you had to pay for shipping back. Shady business practice. I just found out I will only receive a $72 refund on an order I spent $200. Pretty insane. Learn from my mistake and DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS SELLER!

I wanted to like it…but it’s inconvenient “slow cooking” not being able to stir food, the bottom veggies get stuck and get burn. I’m dissapointed, “I whish I knew this”, before purchasing. I return it.

Glad I bought this! It's large. I read where people said theirs cracked, but it needs to be properly prepped like immersed in water (I did mine for 24 hours), and then baked (can't remember how long). Also, I make sure that I start off on a very low heat and then slowly increase it over several minutes when I cook a meal. Directions are on the internet for how to properly prep.

Used the tagine for Moroccan dishes. Put the tagine in a cold oven and warm gradually, or use a diffuser if using on the stove top. The flavors are phenomenal.

This is a serious unglazed clay tagine. I gave it four stars instead of five because it is a little bit too porous for my taste. Before using it for the first time, I soaked it overnight in water, dried it, and "seasoned" it well with olive oil, and baked it (300F) for a couple of hours. Then, I made a chicken w. olives tagine. Even after that first seasoning, the base soaked up too much broth, in my opinion. The base was still too porous. So, I have seasoned it a second time with even more olive oil, and baked it. We'll see. My advice: Buy it, but season it really well.

I have a smaller tagine and I love it. However, this tagine is much larger which makes it great for larger dinner parties. The value is good given the price. This is what they used for centuries. I would agree with the other purchasers to make sure that you season the bottom properly before the first use. It will save a lot of trouble.

Very great tagine. It's worth the money though. I love it and the best part is putting it in the oven. That saves time and gets me delicious recipes.
