The frame and netting are as expected but the straps at the bottom of the frame to hold the netting tight were almost useless. Virtually any ball hitting the net popped them off. We got so tired of putting them back on we abandoned them and went with zip ties. Not a great solution but the only one we have come up with so far.

After less than 2 months of use (probably 3 batting sessions per week) the frame cracked and split. Net was durable but frame was cheap and weak

So long as your kid isn't hitting them out of the park every time I think you'll be ok getting this pitching screen. The tube design is easy to put together. The net slips over the frame and hooks on the bottom. If you have a real slugger you could add an extra layer or beef up a section pretty easily.I'm keeping mine setup full time so I've added tape to keep water out of the connections and am using an old car cover with the silver backer to make sure it lasts as long as possible.I usually use weights on stuff like this, but in this case, allowing the legs to float/rock back will reduce the force on the net and prolong it's life.

This pitching screen is an excellent addition to our training setup. It's sturdy, portable, and provides exceptional protection for pitchers and batters alike. Its easy assembly and durable construction make it a must-have for any baseball or softball player.

This doesn't feel cheap like others I have owned. I use this for my son's baseball practice. It stops the ball from slamming into my very slow moving face when he's getting in batting practice. Does not fall over in wind (accidentally left out in a storm).

For all you tall pitchers out there this is the screen for you (7' tall). I previously had a smaller screen that had the tent-like poles, and it really only slowed down the balls hit directly at it where this screen holds its ground on direct line drives. Assembly is easy, though I wish they had some stickers to make the pole to pole connections a little more intuitive. The net slides on over the top essentially making it a double net, then you use the supplied Velcro strips to keep the net down. It also comes with a handful of stakes, but it's sturdy enough that I won't use them, and I'm guessing you won't either.
