Be careful if you buy these. The screws on these are WAY longer than the original chrome ones on my Sterling by MusicMan Ray4s and Ray5s. If you use these without measuring first, there's a chance you will punch a hole right through your headstock.

Decent finish with the black. Feels less weighty than you would expect. Diameter and string guide size/placement is correct to Fender/Squier originals. It is about 2mm taller than the original. The screws that come with it are too long and needed a cut down, but overall pretty simple to fit if you have basic tools. Really pretty good for the price and worth the buy.

the screws they supply with them are too long for a fender head stock. i was switching my hardware from chrome to black and was not able to use the supplied screws. they are around 1/4 too long

As other reviews have stated, the provided screws are three times the length of the one needed. Aside from this there is NOTHING wrong with the string retainer itself. Use the old screw or get new ones, but there is nothing wrong with the retainer.
