This is great for night vision goggles, they fit perfectly and will protect them well, will protrect from water as well.I think these hafe a niche or cult like following but I have never heard of mystery until now. This is well made of a durable, flexible, thicker type canvas and the seams are tight and well made. There are no manufacturing issues and it will pass your hands on test whe it arrives.

This binocular case is awesome! It straps around your chest, so you can easily access your binoculars (phone and whatever else you can fit in there) while hunting and without moving too much. I went hunting with a buddy who had one and after seeing it, knew that I needed one. It makes hunting that much better having the easy access. It's definitely the thing that I didn't know that I needed.

I got this for my wife and her Celestron 8x42 binoculars. This is quite a bit larger than needed for that, but she appreciates the extra room for snacks for the kids, wallet, etc. I thought she wouldn't like it because of the size, but it's comfortable for her - she's only used it for a 2 hour hike though, so we'll see how it works out in tougher service.I might borrow it for hunting season...Definitely a good, protective harness.

This is such a great harness. I love this brand and trust it completely and this product is no different. The magnetic closure on the harness is just the cherry on top to get to your binoculars quickly and quietly. It is comfortable and adjusts well to your size. The price tag is worth it on this product for sure.

I recently ordered the Mystery Ranch 10x Bino case because my wife and I go into the backcountry to do wildlife photography but found that the 10x case didn’t fit one of my 10x42 binoculars because the case was just a bit too small for it. So, I ordered this 12x case to see if it would work better for our larger binoculars. This Binocular case does have a lot of thoughtful features, but like I felt about the 10x version, at this price-point, I expected a bit more function. The fit and finish is excellent, and I like all the external pockets, but as I mentioned in my review of the 10x case, it is eerily similar to the Marsupial Enclosed Binocular Pack that my friend has; this is nearly a clone. When this case arrived, I expected it to be taller, but was surprised to find that it is also wider and thicker too. It is 2-inches taller than the 10x version, a half-inch thicker, and an inch-wider. I will post pictures of them side-by-side for comparison. Because this is wider, 10x42 or narrow 12-power binoculars could jostle side-to-side within the case. On the plus side, however, I found its size allows for a fit of my Night Vision Binos, although getting the cover on is tight, I could have used an extra half-inch in height for a perfect fit.Take note! This comes in two Sizes, Regular and XL, which refers to the size of the harness and NOT the size of the bag. Don’t think you’d be getting a bigger bag by getting the XL model, it’s just coming with a larger harness for bigger guys.Pros:- Very well thought out design that allows quick deployment of binoculars one-handed using the magnetic closure system.- The opening folds away from you, and the interior is lined with a soft polyester felt like material.- There are numerous pockets on the outside of the pack, one zippered and the rest are made of a stretchy material, to secure small items such as SD cards, smartphone, ID, or a GPS.- The back or the case has an accessory sleeve that is perfect for maps.- The underside of the bag has PALS webbing for attaching Molle accessories.- It can work with or without a backpack, and the harness has retention straps that can be attached to the binoculars.- Case is compact at 9-inches tall, 7-inches wide, and 4-inches thick at the thickest point.- Keeps your Binos close to the chest so they don’t bounce around.- Harness is lightweight but very comfortable and durable and has retention bungie on the upper two straps so that the ends of the strapping doesn’t dangle.- The Harness has a nice breathable mesh with extra stitching at stress points, and there is the same mesh on the back of the case where it rests against your chest.- The Case is easily removeable with durable detachable buckles.- It is made of thick and durable 330D Lite Plus Cordura that appears will withstand the test of time.- Has a lifetime warranty. This it is a very nice case and likely one of the best out there. But for the price I would have expected it to be top notch. Here are the cons for which I am deducting one star.- This is 0.5-inches shorter than my Rokman case, and I wish it had the same height so that it could accommodate all taller binoculars.- This unit is not waterproof like my Rokman version that has welded seams. At this price I would expect a waterproof case.- I would expect it to be manufactured stateside at this price, but that is not the case.- The outside pockets, although a welcome addition, are all very small. I was hoping there would be one or two large enough to fit a rangefinder or anemometer. But instead, a Rangerfinder holster, Tech Holster, or Bear Canister Holster can be purchased separately from Mystery Ranch that can be attached to the underside of this bag. If you use a clip to attach your rangefinder, the outside stretchy pocket material would not hold up.- If you decide you want to use the bag without the harness for when chest carry is not feasible, there is no belt loop or PALS webbing on the back to attach it to a belt or pack like that on my Rokman.- Only two of the four straps on the harness have elastic sleeves for covering the excess dangling strap ends. I recognize one side has longer straps than the other, but I am a slim guy and still have ends dangling at all four corners. I would have liked to have seen the elastic on the strap ends on the bottom harness straps as well as on the top ones.- It can be a bit noisy if you don’t have it oriented on your chest just right and out of the way of your pack straps.Despite the cons it is really a very nice chest rig for your binoculars and accessories. If you decide to purchase this, just make sure you are aware of the limitations before ordering it.

I am not a hunter; I’m just a regular person that wanted this harness to place 12x42 binoculars in. I haven’t had the chance to actually use it yet but put it on and wore it for a good half hour. It’s breathable + extremely comfortable, even on this petite frame, and I like everything about it. I can understand why someone would use this for hunting. Again I don’t hunt but I’d think this would be a game changer because it secures while making your bino or rangefinder easily accessible, the magnetic closure is so quiet (your game won’t hear you open vs if it was velcro, buckle, button, etc), lining is soft and there are lots of compartments to place other small items in. It’s durable and should last many decades. I like the look of it -so gorpcore- and will only be using it for hiking, birdwatching, checking the traffic, spying (jk) but I can’t wait to take it out on my adventures. I will definitely make good use of itP.S. don’t buy if you have a pacemaker
