This works just fine with either the other pivot tools (thoracic and lumbar) or by itself. The material is rather slick..as in slippery, but that probably would aid in moving your head a bit to access some of those tender spots.

I typically never write reviews, but this tool is amazing. I rest on it for 5-10 mins each night before bed and it instantly takes away my stress and tightness in my neck/head. I feel like I sleep a lot better too. Wow, didn't expect this to work so well! Thank you!

I was skeptical at first because nothing I have ever purchased has ever even touched my neck pain. This is the magic tool I’ve been looking for! I had so many knots that even a professional massage couldn’t relief with an hour and a half session. Buy it, worth the money and relief. I’m finally hopeful and feeling better with my posture and neck tension. I’ve never had such a relaxed upper neck/back. With consistency and daily use it makes a HUGE difference, night and day.

haven't noticed drastic changes.. do feel a difference immediately after use but havent noticed changes in sleep. A little pricey. Going to see how it works after using on a more regular basis.

Neck pain is gone. I usually lay on this, tilt my head back and just leave it there for 5 minutes. I bring my arms in full circles to the top and back, and get a good stretch out of it. I use this with another tool and feel great.

Definitely provides relief, however it is slightly difficult to remain in certain positions since it did not come with non slip pads as promised.

This thing is amazing. One of those things you didn’t know you needed until you got it!If you have neck or back problems you can stretch it all out and get a quick adjustment.I always align myself on this before a workout and before and after sleep.

This did not work for me at all. It was much too stiff. I have neck issues with arthritis. I would not recommend this product if you have similar issues.

This does help release neck muscle tension, similar to when my physical therapist would pull on my neck/head. The device itself is decent quality but doesn’t seem like it should cost as much as it does for the bit of plastic it is. However, it does work well and allows me to release neck tension this way on my own, which I simply could not do on my own without this device or another person. So for those reasons I am keeping it. It is FSA eligible as well.

The trigger points in the neck can be really tricky and a device like this is absolutely essential to take the guesswork out of where to pinpoint them, working a full range of neck muscles. I understand it's primarily designed for occipital release merely laying still but I can confirm it indeed works great for trigger point massage all the way down the neck - working things inch by inch until you find the right spots. This and a peanut / double lacrosse massager are the top essentials in my massage tools I typically use on the floor to allow gravity to do its work. I don't suffer from migraines or headaches myself but it does feel like this helps blood flow to the head after using as well - so it might be worth a try! I initially thought the price seemed a little high but it's made really well and indeed firm enough for massage with a slight cushion to reduce the chances of bruising or skin irritation (haven't had any myself with pretty lengthy massage on it). I had a couple of nights I slept a lot deeper than usual after some lengthy acupressure on this before bed.

I never write reviews for products, but I had to for this. Since using this, I don’t have to pop Advil/Tylenol constantly, I’m sleeping better and I’m in an overall better mood. I purchased this as a last ditch effort one night when I couldn’t sleep due to pain and I’m so glad I did.
