Sturdy, lightweight stand that holds my alto sax securely with a peg that can be used with flute or clarinet. I actually have a small sock on the peg right now for an alto flute and it does a fine job. Easy to transport and affordable.

Although it's a flute stand I use it for my tenor sax! It's a simple yet highly durable stand. I've purchased other saxophone stands, yet I always return to this stand. I don't have to worry about parts falling off or breaking. Again, it's simply, but very durable and highly functional.

There are a couple of good things about this stand. The price is one. Its sturdy simplicity is another. There aren't any mechanical parts that seem prone to wear or breakage in normal use. But after using it out and about a few times I decided that its disadvantages outweigh the advantages. It's not compact when folded, even with the support separated from the base. It won't fit into the outer pocket of a case or in any tote bag of reasonable size. If you're carrying an instrument or two and other supplies it's a pretty awkward thing to be lugging around. The foam covering the bell cradle and lower support is subject to wear. It needs to be protected, which is made more difficult by the stand's awkward transport configurations (either folded or disassembled). The design isn't very stable. The instrument sits at a higher angle than with other stands. That means more potential for the horn to twist out of the bell cradle because gravity isn't securing it as much. It's also a setup with a high center of gravity. The potential for the horn to get knocked out or for the stand to fall over from some inadvertent bump seems quite high. So I stopped using it and put the instrument in its case when not in use outside the home. The stand is used strictly at home, where there are no wildcards in the environment.Players who for some reason must use a stand on stage should probably use something with a more secure design. If you're willing to spend the money, the Saxrax and K&M Saxxy stands seem like the most secure. The tried-and-true Hercules holds the horn at a good angle for stability (though it can still twist out) and doesn't cost that much more than this one. The Saxxy and Hercules are also compact when folded. A stand is not an item to shop for strictly by price, since an insecure stand has the potential to cost you the most if it results in damage to your horn.

well i bought this for the price and it held my alto and flute, but after a few days, the screw to secure the sax stand wouldn't work, so now it swings around everywhere, and im scared for it. i kept it, but i am about to buy a new one because: i switched to tenor sax and oboe, and the flute peg does stand out a few degrees, so i freak out about my oboe reed. also THE SAXOPHONE STAND'S BELL SUPPORT IS TOO SMALL AND IT WON'T FIT MY TENOR'S BELL ON IT!

This stand was bought for my 12 year old son who plays the alto sax. He uses this stand in his room and it makes it easier for him to practice since the sax is readily available. Good buy for the money. Nothing fancy, but does the job.

Bought this product for my girlfriend for her birthday. It is exactly what you expect.Pros:-No construction. Comes put together. (minus the flute stand) Just open the box and ready for use.-Displays the sax very nicely. Very subtle, DOES NOT draw attention from the sax.-Flute stand. The flute stand is also a nice feature so you can display both instruments.-Simple and effective.Cons:-None.She loves being able to have her sax on display rather than in its case. I highly recommend this.

This was exactly the ticket for what I needed: a basic stand that I could have onstage for my alto sax when I wasn't playing it. There is very little to say about this product, other than it does exactly what it is supposed to. I think it's sturdy and will hold up to heavy usage. I have only used it for an alto sax, not tenor - and I haven't used the flute/clarinet peg. It's not a fancy piece of gear, but it doesn't need to be. It's small and lightweight. And the price was right.
