I bought a boring bar set from Amazon and every time I try to use them they cut terrible. I make sure the bar is on center, insert is seated right but cant get a smooth finish. I need to try different inserts. Anyway this week I was cutting B16 with this bar and it worked great so the bar and inserts are descent. I wish they had one for 35 degree inserts.

Tough for it's size. Must admit I haven't used a metal lathe in many years, and am totally new to working with a mini lathe, so it took a bit of head scratching to get it to work in the confined space. That said it does it's job. It looks like it would be weak but looks are deceiving. It's a tough little boring bar. Happy with it for the price.

Common boring bar with good reviews. Not a every day use, good enough for me to use as a hobbyist Scale model steam engine build.
