This made all the difference when I had to tie a new roof into an old one. If you need to work with already installed asphalt shingles, this will make the job much easier.

Very solid. Must have for any DIY roofing jobs. More expensive compared to other Amazon sellers but worth it

So far so good, hasn’t cracked yet. I work in construction & complete shingle repairs often. Usually around 4 a week. This tool helps prevent shingle damage, when installing the last row. Prevents you from over bending the last row to hammer in the nails.

It makes tearing off old shingles a breeze. The leverage is incredible, and it really saves your back. I've used cheaper tools before, and they just don't compare. This thing is built tough and feels like it'll last forever.

As a homeowner, I don’t wish to go up on the roof to do shingle repairs but when I do have to, this tool is a must have.I had to do some shingle repairs recently in 3 degree Celsius because the roofer I hired botched the job.You need it if you do roof repairs, I don’t think there’s any other tool that does this. It’s a specialty tool and this particular one by PacTool is very durable and well made. The shingle repair job would definitely be harder to complete without this tool especially in the cold and the shingles do not bend as easily anymore so that the hammer can get under them.

I had to replace several rows of shingles and this tool was perfect for the job. It was the right size and shape to find the old nails and easily remove them. It was also ideal to hammer new nails into place without bending and breaking the old brittle shingles. If you have to repair shingles just get this tool!

Anyone that works with shingles needs one of these. Pulls nails real easy. I used it to tie in a new patio cover to my house . Had to remove a bunch of shingles so I could blend in the new shingles like you are supposed to. Worked great.

Used to help replace several damaged shingles and roofing nail pops. Works sufficiently well to get the job done. I think it could be improved if the "toe" end which holds the nail were about two inched longer, which would probably necessitate some type of buttress reinforcement since you would be changing the hammering leverage distance. When the nailing area is farther up on the underlying shingle, it is a little tricky to hold the tool with the nail in the end, flex a used shingle up over the tool and hammer on the raised boss with only two hands. The boss you hammer on sometimes is under the overlapping shingle. Overall glad I purchased, did make a challenging repair doable.

I haven't used it yet but can clearly see it will work out fine. It's a very sturdy tool. Feels like a forging but it could be a casting, either way still good and solid.Great tool for shingle replacement.

Pretty helpful. Still need a different prybar to pull nails out because neither side of this tool is efficient for pulling roofing nails. The one side is for driving nails and the other is supposed to be for pulling nails I just thought the pulling side should have been sharper, it's too blunt to be good at pulling nails in spots where you are trying to save shingles.
