Works under FreeBSD without any problems. Recognized on an old LGA1150 mob. Cables are nice addition. Where I live I'd pay just as much for cables only.

Flat out dosent work. Slows my bootup and im not even booting from it. No drives show up. Junk. Avoid at all costs.

I hoped this was actually a 4x card so I could get 4 drives on pcie 2.0 to be capable of ~250MB/s simultaneously. `lspci` says this card is only capable of a 2x link. At the same time it would not go above a 1x link in a slot capable of 8x. Same thing in an alternate slot that is 4x capable.The heatsink is applied to two chips. One chip is slightly higher than the other. The thermal pad is very thin and only partially contacts both dies.

Easy plug and play SATA expansion card I've added to my Unraid server to drop in more hard drives as the motherboard only had 4x SATA ports. Unraid immediately recognised the new drive attached to it and is currently building parity, highest speeds I've observed on the Dashboard so far, for both receive and transmit, are ~1400MB/s.Bright LEDs show it's working, and I've zip tied a Noctua NF-A4x20 PWM to the heatsink to keep it cool while reading/writing data to server, probably not necessary and overkill but better safe than sorry! Really pleased with product and will update with speeds once I've added more drives.

Stò assemblando un nuovo server casalingo con 11 dischi da dedicare allo storage. La scheda madre, una Gigabyte X570S UD ha solo 6 porte Sata e così ho comprato questa scheda (versione da 8 porte Sata) per poter aggiungere gli ulteriori dischi e avere ancora spazio per espansioni future.Il sistema utilizza Proxmox 7.3 con kernel linux 5.15.83 e temevo di dover faticare per poter vedere la scheda, ma sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso dal fatto che è stata riconosciuta automaticamente senza dover installare nessun driver. Complimenti.

Plugged it into the PCI-e 16x slot on an old mobo I am using as a file server and recognized all the drives as internal drives, right out of the box. No need for a driver.IT JUST WORKS. 100% recommend you buy this
