I had high hopes but low expectations for this distributor and my expectations were met.The good: it is relatively easy to tune the advance curve.The bad: Distributor was defective out of the box. It produced an intermittent, erratic spark below 1200 rpm. I check several plug wires with my Innova timing light and confirmed the spark was not steady or regular. It also made a loud, high pitched whining/grinding noise. I confirmed with Pertronix tech support that this was not normal.The design of the unit is generally poor. The advance limiters are very loose and made of thin sheet metal. I can't see how they would consistently limit the advance weights. Too much play in them. The cap does not fit snugly on the distributor and easily slides off center. The screw heads for the hold downs are cheap pot metal that a Phillips head will not fit in . The vacuum advance canister IS NOT ADJUSTABLE! This is essentially a GM design that is adapted to Mopar. Because of this you will have to remove your oil pump drive gear and rotate it 30 degrees. The drive tab on the bottom of the shaft does not adequately engage the drive gear it is very loose.I returned it and spent more money elsewhere.
