Much smaller and lighter than the old one, same length fit perfectly, takes about 1 second for the lights to turn on. So far so good.

Sometimes it is hard to know whether a florescent fixture needs new tubes or a new ballast. In this case I decided to replace the ballast. It was a simple installation. The fixture now starts immediately when turned on (with the same tubes). As long as the new ballast lasts at least 5 years I will be very happy with this product.

Ballast did not work. Put old one back in and it works but slow to start.
