Bought this camera to replace one I broke that came from an aftermarket radio. I'm not entirely sure how to get the cam to work without putting it into reverse, pretty sure that's because it's missing a wire the other one had specifically for this head unit, but it still works great regardless with clear video. Unable to test the 1080p because my unit only has 720p but again, I'm sure it looks great and will definitely test in the future if I ever get a chance. If you need a camera that will help you see great at night and feel safer at night with good colors. It's waterproof as well so no problems mounting to the back of my license plate, and the camera angle stays where you need it. Overall a good product, and not a bad price at all for what you get, good value. I'll change my stars to 5 once I can figure out how to wire the cam to always work with the car on.

Recently installed this camera while upgrading my car stereo to one that supported cameras. I previously installed a rearview mirror camera so thought I would not have to run a new cable from the rear to the front. I was the one already installed. Wrong. This camera specifically states that you MUST use their cable or you damage the camera so I had to run all new wire to use theirs. I think that is a bad idea to use non standard wiring configuration but that was marketing idea. Anyway installed the camera and it has a good picture. The instructions state to cut the white wire if you don't want to use the built in guidelines in the camera. I did that but the guide lines were still there. Tried to contact their support and was directed to their website by Amazon. Their contact info gets you a maill delivery error so no way to contact them for warranty support. Still within 30 day return window with Amazon but I can't take the wire out easily now that it is run. Great picture though.

Used this on 2008 Honda Pilot which didn't previously have a backup camera. Followed instructions and was easy to install. video quality is great and has back-up guides so you can see how close you're getting to cars when backing up.

This is a great camera. Resolution and picture is really clear. Great at night too. Comes with ample video cord to run from the trunk to front dash. Multiple mounting options and easy to install.Also, it states that this has a wide angle, and it does. It has a great wide coverage and the picture is not stretched or distorted.Very happy with this camera, it is the best available that I have seen and installed.

Having used a range of reverse cameras over the years, normally cheaper units from eBay, I took a punt on buying this camera and replacing the one on my Toyota LandCruiser because I was so sick of the poor quality of the image of the existing camera.I do a bit of 4wding, so a good quality camera when I am reversing on tight tracks is important.The quality of the image from this camera is simply amazing - far, far superior to anything I have used previously, and with a wide angle which is exactly what I was hoping for. I have my camera mounted just below roof level, and can now see down low to my tow hitch, and high enough that I can see a car travelling behind me - absolutely perfect.The image is crisp and clear.Definitely happy with my purchase.

This is now my go to camera to install. The picture quality is great, but also the build quality. It's built out of metal with a decent weight to it and easy to install. Great price as well.

Straight forward install, clear picture day or night and the casing seems to be durable and of high quality.I replaced a camera from another brand on a jeep wrangler, and was pleased to find the mounting was compatible with my existing spare tire bracket. This camera was much heavier than the one that came with the prior kit, and the wiring and connections were of heavier gauge and just seemed of higher quality overall. This can be said for the picture as well, bring clearer in the daytime and brighter at night. Overall very pleased so far.

I recently installed this on a 2016 f250 crew cab short bed. There was plenty of cable length, and I think there would still be enough cable for a long bed truck. My truck didn't have a factory backup camera, and they make hooking up trailers so much easier. I used the included license plate mount, which works good and seems to be good quality. The only problem is that you don't get enough down angle for depth perception. I get the alignment perfect every time I back up to a trailer but still have to get out to check distance. This is not a fault of the camera, though, just due to where it is mounted. The picture quality is great. I am using an aftermarket double din head unit. I was able to power/switch the camera from the dash using the camera's wire harness. My radio has an output to trigger the camera, and that prevented me having to tap in to a reverse light. The camera itself seems to be well made. It has a nice heft for its size, being made of metal instead of plastic. Time will tell about the durability, but I am happy with my purchase as of now.

Greetings. I purchased this camera based on the reviews and I was not disappointed. Camera was very easy to set up and worked with no fuss right out of the box. I am very impressed with it's low light ability. I planed on using this camera as an additonal front camera and during the transition, i missplaced the instrucion manual. I contacted the seller and within a day I got a response and they sent me the PDF of the instructions. Very quick turnaround. I give this camera 5 stars. 1 star for the build quality of the camera. 1 star for the ease of set up and the useful mounting brackets. 2 stars for the cameras low light ability and finally 1 star for the sellers customer service. I am very happy with this camera. I hope this helps in your decision.Cheers.

Have found this to be an excellent backup camera. Was very well packaged with straight forward information to allow me to install it myself. I had a few small issues mainly related to the head unit, but once connected up it has been operating perfectly. I am now even considering purchasing one for the front of the car.
