PMX-6600 PROFESSIONAL AUDIO POWER MANAGEMENT
The Soundavo PMX-6000 Professional Audio Power Management is a power conditioner and sequencer with excellent feature including the status and alert capabilities: a voltage meter and amperage meter for real-time analysis, LED status for grounding/polarity/noise filtering/abnormal voltage/surge protection, and an audio alarm for unsafe voltage.
The multi-stage noise filtering for reduces frequency interference RFI & Electromagnetic Interference EMI, with Panasonic and Wima capacitors to filter out performance-robbing high-frequency noise. Specifically designed and engineered to provide a stable power and good circuit protection to your system.
12-volt trigger input/output with bypass switch provided to allow triggering from a control system or other component.
Power-Up in 3 delayed outlet groups from zone 1 to zone 3 as Digital Audio, Analog Audio and High Power Filtered outlets for 6 seconds delay time between each zone, those 3 zones are powered off in reverse sequence. It will prevent annoying and sometimes damaging THUMPS and POPS by turning power amplifiers ON last and OFF first. Sequentially powering ON multiple electrical / electronic components will also help manage high inrush currents that can cause circuit breakers to trip and current-limited power supplies to shut down. Which is a excellent feature for Home Audio, Instrument Rigs, Sound Recording Studio or Pro Audio/DJ equipment with power amplifier, active speaker and preamp/mixer application.
Bypass / Remote Switch for Power On/Off
The PMX-6600 has two power-on/off modes, one is through the Power On/Off Switch on the front panel, or can be powered by the external 12V trigger.

Nice unit, but if you plan on rack mounting it, it will take 3U of space and leave 1u relatively unusable even for a blank plate based on how the screw holes are placed on the front panel in my experience, where I was more expecting a 2U profile. It does come with feet pre-installed if you just want to put it in a stack of equipment.The ammeter in addition to the voltage display is a nice touch, and the plugs on the back are nicely spaced out so even if you have unfriendly wall warts, you have some options for where to lay them out.The two front outlets and USB ports are also very convenient for ad-hoc needs.

I have a rehearsal room with over 50 instruments. I was daisy-chaining a couple power strips to make up for all the inputs I needed (not safe) and I started to develop problems like noise and failing power inputs. So after a lot of research I purchased couple of these units as were the most affordable with the most inputs. They totally quieted down my room. I am extremely pleased and feel the room is now much safer. Plus they look great. Thank you so much.

Got home in great condition and well packed.What I'm doing is I turn the power manager on, and then, after 20 seconds, Iturn my set up on (order: power manager, laptop, interface, preamp, monitors, MIDI controller and faderport), and when I'm done, then turn my set up off in the reverse order before turning the power manager off. It's working like a charm.Before, I was leaving the set up on, and turning the 6600 off; so when turning the 6600 on, everything could be automatic; the problem was that the monitors started popping so I stopped.Recommended gear. Plus, it looks beautiful.
