I was pleasantly surprised to find that the surface of this belt is covered with striations perpendicular to its length - this will ensure that there is minimal slippage of the belt with respect to pulley. Good value for money. See other reviewer's good suggestion for jig for coupling ends of belt.

I’ve been in need of some 6mm belting but kept putting off getting some. When this 4mm popped up on the vine program, I decided to take a chance that it may still work for my application and so far it is working perfectly. I’m using this as the drive belt on an old lapidary machine that has been Jerry-rigged with all manor of material. So I’ve been planning on overhauling it and this was the last piece of the puzzle I needed to get the machine working properly once again. So far this belting is working great and with 10 meters of it, I’ll have enough to last 3 lifetimes.
