Often imitated never duplicated. Ram balls and mounts are the best. This C size is overkill for most applications, but I’d rather use something too big rather than too small. Plus next to a B the C just looks right for larger items like iPads. It’s been my experience the diamond bases are just as strong as the round bases although sometimes round ones just look better. Form follows function but you also have to look at it.Every Ram product I have ever bought has “patented” on it yet Amazon is flooded with rip offs. Stop supporting the knockoffs! Ram is the original and still the best. Mostly made in the US although lately they say some things might be made overseas and they’re working on increasing production. I am NOT buying it. I think it’s the knockoffs they’re worried about and they would rather move jobs and keep the price lower rather than lose market share.

Ram Mounts offer a mounting solution for almost everything. Over the years I've used Ram Mounts to mount GPS devices, fish finders, solar panels, GoPro cameras, cell phone enclosures, cup holders, etc. They are very well made and I've never had one fail. Some items may require larger ball and sockets, depending on the weight of the item. However, Ram Mounts are my go-to mounting solution for virtually everything. Also, I'm an engineer, when I give a five star review that five stars covers the material, the durability, the versatility, and the quality. I'm adding a few photos of the boat that I mounted the solar panels onto using Ram Mounts. The Ram Mounts were chosen because the panels have to be removed when the boat is in its sprint configuration and rides on plane. The Ram Mounts make the changeover easy as no tools are required. The GPS device on the dash is also mounted using a Ram Mount. Later Ram Mounts were used to attach GoPro cameras to the boat as well.
