Just a fabulous fit for my oddly shaped handlebars on the 2018+ goldwing. Wow, fantastic fit and now I can have three ram ball mounts working all at the same time...one for Garmin Zumo XT, one for my big ass cup holder and the third one for my phone!

I love that you could use different sized clamps to secure this virtually anywhere. The RAM system is solid and absolutely worth the premium. I recommend it to everyone I know in real life.

This design is no more complex than it needs to be. A simple hose clamp with a rubber sleeve to cover it is all that is really needed to secure the ball to a non-round handlebar, and that's what is included. There are two sizes of clamps for a variety of uses.The rubber sleeve must be installed on the clamp you use, and I recommend installing the clamp without the sleeve first so you can get a good idea of how much of the sleeve needs to be trimmed to allow the clamp to tighten. A little dish detergent makes sliding the sleeve onto the clamp much easier.The clamp gets threaded around an angled bracket that holds the RAM ball. This is where it really becomes perfect for a Goldwing due to the squarish handlebars. The bracket fits the bar very well and once the clamp is tightened down it is extremely secure.I can see this being useful for a variety of applications, and it is a perfect solution for a Goldwing.

I have a K1600gtl and the bars on this are angular so I felt this would fit well.It is not exact but is supplied with two jubilee clips and for me works far better than most.The quality is pretty good and there is a rubber grip for the clip so again enhances the product. All in all 5 star for my use

I purchased this to mount a GoPro on my SxS. Solid mount with versatility. I've been using Ram mounts on my off road vehicles for the last ten years. Many of the pieces I've collected over the years are still in use today. I just keep adapting them for different applications. They perform flawlessly and to date, none have ever failed.

RAM Mount V-base rail clamp - RAM-B-108BI purchased this for use on my bicycle and motorcycle along with my other RAM mounting equipment. The cool parts about this V-base mount is that the 1" rubber ball makes it compatible with the arms that RAM sells, and because it uses standard hose clamps for clamping onto tubular surfaces. It's my understanding that although it includes 2 clamps for various sizes of pipes, you could theoretically use a smaller or larger clamp to make it work on an even wider range of tubes.The rubber strip that is included is a good idea on paper, but it is too long for the 6" clamp and is also too long for the 8" clamp - assuming you are not using the maximum length of the clamp. Mounting the base on my bicycle handle bar, I had to almost complete tighten the smaller clamp. I could not use the rubber strip. I recommend buying rubber sheet gasket from a hardware store to use as a protective grip layer - to add traction and protect your surfaces.Overall: 4/5 stars, swap in different sizes of hose clamps for your application, good build quality, but needs different sized rubber strips to allow for custom length adjustments.It is far more flexible than the alternatives on the market.
