This RAM Mounts Tough-Ball (RAP-B-379U-252050) consists of a 1" diameter rubber ball, connected to a 1/4"-20 X .50" male threaded post. The male thread matches most standard camera and camcorder female threads found on the bottom of the camera. This Tough-Ball is also compatible with the 2021-2023 Ford Bronco dashboard hex bolt with no modifications necessary.

While I enjoy most of ram mount’s products and quality, this is a bit of a miss for my use. If you’re using it for a photo product the threads are too long and really need a nut and lock washer. I got a different brands product, BRCOVAN, and the quality feels better and the price is good too. Photo of both and the Ram attached to my X3 camera to show how much thread sticks out. For a use that needs or can use the extra thread it would be solid.

I've used many different mounting balls. This is just your basic economy ball mount with 1/4-20 threads. Make sure when you purchase one of these you don't need the 7mm thread which is a little different and can cause installation issues. I think the the threaded shank is a bit long, but can be cut down to work with your application. It works but not sure I'd buy this brand again?

Replaced the original screws from Rago Fabrication dash plate on my 2018 Toyota Tundra. These are perfect fit, and allow me to mount additional devices without having to have RAM mount bases.
