Well made and very good if you have just started in fly casting or want to train and not always have a possibility to go to a park or to a water. You can also use it to try new casting techniques without risking wind knots and wasting your time on untangling them.

This is an actual fly rod with fly line on it. I consider it the best on the market. It is limited only in the ceiling height, where you are using it.

NGL I initially bought this game practice fly rod specifically as a toy for our cats, and it has been an absolute hit! The cats love chasing the line and jumping to catch the "fly," providing endless entertainment for both them and us. Watching our fur babies leap and pounce has become a favorite activity in our household, turning into what we jokingly call our "catfishing" sessions.But the real surprise came when I found myself getting hooked on the mechanics of fly casting while playing with the cats. This practice rod is so well-designed and enjoyable to use that it sparked my interest in actual fly fishing. I’m fairly new to fly fishing and struggled with getting good casts. They rarely felt right and my line would pile up for a poor presentation. This “game” helped immensely to see the cast on a smaller scale and correlate the feel for when it was a good cast. Real fly line and a rod that actions realistically too! Would highly recommend for a new learner or someone thinking about getting into fly fishing.

Excellent for learning and practicing fly casting. You can practice accuracy, slipping line, timing, all types of casts, and light hauling. Also great to hit your office friends in the face while they are trying to take important work calls.

Greatest cat toy ever. My one year old cat does aerial 360s going after the indicator. Had to buy a few replacement indicators because the cat destroyed the first one in a month. Keep in safe place, away from cat when not playing.

NO Do Not buy this, mine fell apart (cork handle) soon after opening, got no reply from customer service and I contact them 3 times, no reply to emails or phone msgs.

Fun, interesting and easy to use. Now casting well and will play with outside when it stops raining. in the house I was able to cast 25 feet and hit a smartie at that distance with no issue

This little guy is really cool and a lot of fun. It's really too big to use inside my living room/kitchen. You need a long room without any items in front of you to be able to use this inside. My dog loves to chase the yarn "fly" and I've caught her on the end of my line more than a few times! This particular practice rod is cool to me because it uses real fly line and feels just like my real fly rod. The first one came in 4 pieces instead of two thanks to USPS, but the seller shipped a new one right away, along with a return label for the broken one. Great customer service on their part!
