The fastest speed is 380-450 m / s at PCI-E 3.0. When connected to PCI-E, the speed is only 200-300 m/s. Different computer configurations and SATA SSDs have different speeds. When all ports are used at the same time, the speed slows down.
The SATA3.0 PCI-E card must be installed in the PCI-E slot on the motherboard and cannot be inserted into the PCI slot.
We recommend you use this SATA 3.0 card in PCIE2.0 or 3.0 port to achieve the fastest speed.

I used this expansion card in my home server. Hooked up all six SATA slots. I did not see any reliability issues

This PCI SATA expansion card is a great option for computers with limited SATA ports or when running out of ports. This card is getting put into our old ASUS Intel Xeon server PC. Although the server has six SATA ports we ran out between of additional Hard Drives and the Blu-ray player.This card slots into a PCI-e 3.0 1x spot. This server's motherboard has plenty of PCI slots just for this type of occasion. The card is more than capable for an old server that is only capable of SATA 2 and PCI-e 2.0 speeds. Since this server is only used as an archiving machine where speed is not a priority it works out great. Definitely glad for the six included SATA cables as well.So far there is only one hard drive connected through the card but it works great. Very pleased to get this product for our server setup. 5 stars.

My new motherboard only had 4 Sata ports and I needed 8 to keep aall my old devices - hards drives, blu-ray, dvd, etc.

It's exactly what i needed. Has 6 sata port and good speeds. Just keep in mind the powerusage of your other peripherals.
