We placed this mini-split unit in our (upstairs) 500 square feet game room. You can barely hear it running. The unit heats or cools the entire area within a few minutes. It was definitely worth every penny.

1 of 2:1. I bought the 18,000 Aura mini-split April of 2023. It has been working great! We have a 1000 square foot cabin with a propane heater and baseboard heat. This thing heats the cabin way cheaper than the reduced cost of "off-peak" electric. The noisy window AC is gone. Haven't used the propane or baseboard heat since the Senville went in.I installed this and it took most of a day. I have a vacuum pump, a gauge set, and a flaring tool. There are videos describing how to use these tools to install a Senville or any mini-split. I have been a licensed electrician for 40 years and have my universal refrigeration certificate so the install went pretty well for me.2. After about 13 months the unit tripped the circuit breaker and quit working. I called Senville customer service. Immediately I got a knowledgeable person on the phone. He asked a few simple questions and then sent a new circuit board via Fed Ex. 3 days later I spent about an hour installing the part and it is now working great again. I have worked as master electrician for a school district, a college, and an engineering firm where I have dealt with repairs and parts. Customer service doesn't get any better than my experience here.

This is an awesome product. I DIY installed this unit at our cottage in the Laurentians, north of MTL, and it has been reliably heating our 800 sq ft. living area down to -20C outdoors temps. I bought the extra WiFi module for remote controlling via the mobile app. It has been working great. The delivery took 2 days after order and was handled via freight shipping. I had to sign with the driver to release the delivery.Installation went well with no hiccups. I bought a vacuum pump, gauge manifold and flare tool. I torqued to spec and used nylog blue on the fittings for good measure. The vacuum held and there have been no leaks to the refrigerant since. The unit runs very quiet, both indoors and outdoors. I wall mounted the outdoor compressor, and I hear the occasional vibration in the wall during defrost mode or when heating hard when below -12C outside. But this doesn't bother us.Depending on outdoor temps and humidity, the defrost cycle can kick in more than once per hour. The machine knows what it's doing. The unit design, quality, energy efficiency and sheer thermodynamics are top notch. But there is one real improvement area: there's drift between the temp set point and the real temp observed. And the colder it is outside, the more that temp drift. At -20C of outside temp, I need to set to 76F to reach a real 71F. At 0C of outside temp, 73F of set point will reach a real 71F. I've measured this drift reliably for 3 months of heating season now.I've been monitoring my daily kWh consumption, I am forecasting a yearly decrease of $250-300 in my hydro bill compared to the previous winter with baseboard heating. I am very satisfied with this, so my project next summer will be to install this same unit on the ground floor of our cottage.

Worked great all summer is an air condition, but as soon as we switched to the heat pump mode, it started making strange noises. It’s been getting worse and worse and it sounds to me like it’s the compressor going. Now I’m going to have to be a technician to come in and diagnose it, but they tell me that it’s difficult to do it this time of year. I’ll wait and see but I’m getting a bad feeling.

I had this installed in the late fall at our place. The installation took about 4 hours. The unit itself throws a lot of heat in the shoulder season. I'm interested to see how it work a little late in the winter. I have a few friends that have these type units that love them. I expect after a year I will like this unit the same. That all said things to note.1. The head air handling unit is quite large. So if you are looking at the 33k unit make sure you have space for it.2. I had originally considered installing this myself and I'm sure I could have. Note you need to have access to a vacuum pump. In the end I had it professionally installed for warranty purposes.3. The kit comes with most everything you need. That said, you will still need to purchase the all the electrical to connect the unit to your homes electrical panel (Wire, Breaker, water tight whip).4. Other items that you will require is a stand / wall bracket for the condenser. The line cover set is nice to have as well.Update: Used the unit over the weekend with exterior temperatures ranging omg between -24c - -32c, unit performed great. Kept our inside temp around 19c (set to 21c).

I waited a full year to review this....I'll try to keep it short. If you have DIY experience or are handy, DO it! You won't be disappointed.I added the 18k version to my spray foamed addition and couldn't be happier. I can monitor it and adjust through my alexa and phone from anywhere anytime.(I use it in the off seasons for heat before I turn my boiler on, I can set it up to come on before I get home and everything is nice and cozy. )prior to this, I had window air conditiong and don't cool my house continually. I live in the middle of a field so the breeze is nice. But about 12 days a year the humidty is awful. this is the perfect solution for me.Install was not that hard, just be patient and thorough.I waited over a full year to review for a reason, I figured this was a cheap knockoff and might just not live long... I research the crap out of things. I believe this is a Midea unit and comes with a great warranty (especially if you have it installed by and HVAC professional) I did not, I'm a mechanic with limited A/C experience and was able to get this done and working well. It is also super quiet and I can only really hear the moving air. Defintely no compressor noises (wall mount on concrete foundation)I have also installed two other units now for family members, All are working great. We even installed one in my sisters barn feed room, Just because it was cheap and she wanted some relief in at least that room of the barn if needed. She loves it!! (12k btu)

Excellent product. Heats quickly and quietly. Alexa setup was quick- just swung the unit up on its prop leg and one screw then found the plug for the Alexa device.Biggest issue was YouTube vacuum pump instruction unclear on what to do when turning off the pump - you turn the blue valve OFF first! Took our time over a weekend and succeeded. About $350 for pump, gauge, stand, and line cover kit. Had a digital torque already.Love being able to check the temp in the room via Alexa even when the unit is off. I hear other split apps DON’T show room temp.

Installed the 24,000 BTU unit in a 800 square ft 2 storey cabin with 9 ½ foot ceiling up stairs , I must say the install did present some innovative challenges, on location of install line set run , and power supply ,location of outside condensor placement, and inside head unit location but over all I was able to accomplish with the help of a good friend quite easily.I did purchase a Senville stand ,and line set cover to complete the install. The stand I believe I ordered the incorrect size ( not enought product info when that occurred on sizing info between the 24000 BTU unit and the stand , got innovative and utilized some pressure treated lumber to be able to utilize it , the Cabin is several hours out of town and the install was happening ( no time for returns).Electrical for the unit was pretty straight forward , I did acquire a correct power whip cable from Lowes for this install. The final portion of the install due to location and and my lack of A/c tools and tdchinal knowledge, I had the vacum , leak test at all fittings and the pressure up of the system was completed by a field call to a local a/c guy $535.00 all in, left me with the 7yr warranty after he filled out the warranty card, and some reassurance all will be good . he was surprised at the low cost of the unit as he is supplied by his vendor of these units his cost was $3500.00 just for the same unit (identical specs with the same Toshiba inverter , he is a licensed Lennox distributor in the area .The Alexa App works well with the unit. The A/C is excellent, quiet and efficient totally correct A/C climate in the cabin with bo blowing fan on you due to location of the install . the heat pump (claims to be good to -30) does work very well but have not had it get that cold while we were there to test at these low temps but - 6 no problem .We have an air tight for heating but this is a great addition as I no longer need to get up in the middle of the night to restoke the fire and creates a great ambient temp in the building wheather it is cold or hot outside and does run super quiet, we have had it now for over 1.5 years and no issuesWith absolutely great results , don't hesitate if you have any basic construction skills and knowledge this is a great project to undertake .I am extremely satisfied how this aall worked out and the savings and living comfort are tremendous 👌very easy on the power consumption due to 220 hook up and the variable speed inverter.

This is a perfect model for 850-1000 sq feet. The head unit and heat pump unit are very quiet and energy efficient. For the DIYer, the instructions need to be re-done, alot of details are missing. If you are going to tackle this on your own, here are a few good tips and know hows. First the instructions..the pictures are tiny and do not reflect the detail needed when doing a few of the critical steps (like electrical connections) I watched 3-4 videos of other installations of mini-splits and took good notes. Just read through the instructions first and watch a few videos. Second...performing the vacuum on the line is a critical step, knowing the tools required and the connectors is anohter very important aspect that should be in the instructions. I purchased a vacuum (not cleaner) to perform the vacuum procedure, but forgot the brass connector require to connect heat pump to vacuum! took three days to get one! Overall, I had the skills to do this myself and I installed in an afternoon. I also tackled the wiring, which required a 20amp double pole breaker, routing the 12 gauge wire in conduit to a AC cutoff box, also to the outside of house, then wire from AC box to Heat Pump and then wire the connection from head unit to Heat pump. Connecting the lines and the brass fittings; make sure you purchase the Nylog Gasket sealant, be careful with the brass piping, bend slow and easy to get the route needed from head unit to heat pump. After performing the vacuum test and leak test, I put both electrical switches on (AC Cut-off and 20amp double pole in breaker box) Turned the unit on and had instant AC and then switched over to heat! The remote is easy to use and had the option to control via Alexa or Senville app via smart phone, I connected to smart phone and boom! Full control and finally awesome heat for a little house. Also the SEER rating was really good and the unit is Energy Star, so plus plus. Overalll super happy and can be done by anyone with basic wiring, plumbing and handy person skills. Took me 4.5 hours in total. Going to purchase a few more for another project.
