ATTENTION
Make sure the rocks are completely dry before placing them in the fire pit or fireplace, otherwise may break or pop.
When using lava rocks in fire pit, with a small fire to slowly increase its temperature and then gradually increase the heat, it will dries the rocks slowly and avoids uneven heating.
HORTICULTURAL
Volcanic rocks can be used for landscaping around plants or filling vases to make centerpieces. Topdressing to stabilize plants. Mix with soil to retain moisture and promote the breathing of potted plants such as succulents.

look good, no rocks have blown up when heated up like other brands I read about (though thats usually rocks being wet issue) there is allot of power in the rocks, so they are not as solid as the black rocks but that may or mayn't be an issue with longevity

I had replaced the rocks in my portable propane fire pit with lava rocks. That made it super heavy and reduced the flame. I bought these and it was exactly what I needed and I now have a lighter fire pit for easy transport that has a beautiful yellow flame coming through it.

The lava rock is very big and realistically it will last longer than that smaller stuff that you might get elsewhere. I may have to reconfigure how it is stacked in my fire pit, but it does in fact distribute heat much better.

I actually bought two bags for my fire pit large rocks. Worked really well on my propane fire pit.

They turn black after use. Love the size and original color. Wish they didn't turn color.

These were a replacement for the smaller granules that were not workable due to their size for my small portable fire pit. There are the perfect size to replace the heavier lava rock that comes with so many of these fire pits. In the RV I didnt want the extra weight and damage that the lava rocks would do to the gas fire ring on the bottom of the pit. These are so lightweight and easy to transport. After a while they do break down though as they are soft. When that happens I will most certainly purchase these again.

This came quickly and in a copious amount for my purposes . The bag was quite large.I bought it to use around a table top fire bowl I purchased ( which came with much smaller pea gravel sized rocks) but, in my opinion this size looks much nicer. The rocks were consistent in size and colour and work perfectly . They arrived earlier than expected , which was appreciated as the whole thing was a gift for my husband.
