This fake camera looks pretty real. If you get up close, you may be able to tell that it isn't, but the flashing red light helps sell it if you ask me (batteries are NOT included). The red light is definitely not required, so it will still do its job if it runs out of batteries. I decided to mount this above my garage, looking out over the driveway were we often park. We have some young kids in our neighborhood who have stolen things before, and we know they try to avoid cameras based on what my neighbor with a real camera has found. In any case, I expect that this will help deter people who walk by our house from taking things. 5 stars.

Like having a security sign in the yard, this is the main deterrent. No one asks to see what is behind it. I don't know why it says "wireless" when it's a dummy camera to begin with, but yes it is wireless, but there are parts even below the dome so it looks very real. Attach it to your store ceiling and watch the shoplifting subside!

description and packaging says it uses 2 AA batteries.. NOT true it uses 2 AAA batteries which will require shorter internals for battery replacement... The engineer who designed the installaton for this device needs to go back to school.. I am very handy with products needing installation and to be brief this one is very poorly designed.. like terrible..
