The buckle came off but did stay attached to the rope I tried different feet and different ways of buckling my foot to accender and nothing worked

The mechanical part of the device works fine. The belt connection to the device is a total fail. Belt slips out of device during ascending which could leave you in a pickle because it got me, but luckily I was using a backup just in case of any failure.
