Moderate level of protection. The lock works as intended but could be compromised quite easily in my opinion. That being said the price is fair for what you get.

I have no doubt that this will delay any intruder from taking my trailer, but I definitely use a multi-pronged approach. For the user, the key is very difficult to use, and often times sticks. I'm nervous I will be later updating this review with a broken key in hand, and a locked trailer... *shrugs*

I bought this for a new aluminum 6*12 trailer that is stored outside. The lock fit as expected and it appears to be secure when installed correctly. Need to close the hitch lever after installing the yellow block into the hitch, then insert the ubolt lock over the top of the lever.I saw a similar one that someone else installed incorrectly and it could be slipped off the hitch without the key. So verify it is secure.
