This is a very durable well made product.Easy to assemble and clean .The opening is small, too small for even some half potatoes.Would be wonderful for small things like carrots and zucchinis.

Well, it was the only thing I found that said it could grate hard cheese.It does not. Whole thing ceased up first time it was used. It cannot even be disassembled and cleaned now.The clamp pads left a green mark that I cannot remove. (Wood surface)There are no bearings, it's just metal on metal when you turn it. So it makes a loud screeching noise.Does not have an angle to it so the cheese will just build up in the drum instead of dropping down.

I am a plastics hater, so shopped high and low for a stainless steel rotary food grater to fit my budget. Not easy to find in this plastic world. I settled for the Upgrade Stainless Steel Rotary Vegetable Cheese Grater sold by ChoicestEquip, an Amazon seller of mostly automotive tools, camping and other such equipment from what is shown on their storefront. It did not disappoint.Overall appearance: shiny silver utilitarian design, handsome enough to display on a kitchen shelf with other appliances for convenient quick grab and use.Suction: extreme hold without need for moistening countertop; dryly secures in place the rubber bottom of device, which won’t budge until little metal lever is switched to release.Long handle: designed and positioned with tooling skill for efficient hand-turning. Screws on the threaded shaft of the grating drum, turned one way to secure and operate, turned the oppose way to unscrew and remove. Most practical. And no plastic parts to break.Grating drums: ultra sharp with a polished chrome-like finish, top grade quality. As sharp looking as they cut.Performance: the rotary action works with smooth precision. Grates cheese, carrots and other root and tuber vegetables superbly. Slices potatoes, onion, cabbage ultra thin, but I finished up slicing cabbage and onion by hand, not a whole lot, but cabbage leaves and onion layers slipped through unsliced. All in all, most positive results.Hopper: measures 2 1/4 by 2 3/4 inches, too small for a whole potato, such as a Russet, or any vegetable larger than that in diameter, thus whole, large, round slices cannot be obtained.Cleaning: a breeze. All vegetable matter slides away under tap water. The few seams in the metal hopper and the rotary drum compartment which might catch some particles, more likely cheese, is easily removed with a long-handled kitchen bristle brush. I find hand washing and drying no hassle. This gadget makes kitchen work fun and a pleasure.

I needed a cheese grater that was metal as I am trying to eliminate plastics. This one works well, but is very small for the amount of cheese we use. There is a "lip" inside the hopper that is difficult to clean.

Some days of the folded steel makes it hard to clean internally but 10/10 rock this thing regularly.Several grating options and good suction mount. Chews through bricked cheeses, veggies, and meats like you wouldn’t believe.Just open to spend some decent time cleaning it out when you are done as again - some of the folds internally trap food and hinder a “quick” quality cleaning.

Potatos do not shred, slivers just spin around in the drum and any food that does get through the grate is decimated and too small to properly cook outside of mush. The frame is flimsy and the bore is small. The only thing that is good about this grater is the suction to the counter. I hate how much money I spent on this, it is atrocious.
