Purchasing the Versa-Brella UPF 50+ has completely transformed our outdoor sports experience. As parents of daughters who play soccer and flag football, we’ve endured countless hours in the sun, often in less-than-comfortable seating situations. That’s all in the past now, thanks to this ingenious product. The Versa-Brella is exceptionally versatile and user-friendly. It clips seamlessly onto our stadium seats (purchased separately at Costco) and can be adjusted to block the sun no matter its position. The ability to direct the shade precisely where needed is a standout feature. What’s more, the shade it provides is often ample enough for two people, offering a cool respite not just for us but for our neighbors in the stands as well. This personal sun shade is a must-have for anyone spending time outdoors, especially if you find yourself cheering on your favorite athletes under the harsh sun. Highly recommended for its effectiveness and ease of use!

I started with the smaller version of the Sport-Brella a few years ago, and it served me well for quick trips to the park or a casual beach day. But recently, I decided to upgrade to the larger size, and wow, I didn’t realize how much I needed that extra shade until now.1. PERFECT FOR THE PALE CREW:As someone who practically lives in sunscreen (yes, I’m the person who looks like Casper the Friendly Ghost on the beach), having reliable, portable shade is non-negotiable. This bigger version gives me more coverage, which means I don’t have to keep moving around to stay in the shade—it’s a total game-changer for sunny days.2. PORTABILITY THAT MAKES SENSE:Even with the bigger size, it’s still easy to fold up and carry. It doesn’t take up a lot of space, and the universal clamp makes it super versatile. I’ve attached it to chairs, coolers, and even my patio railing for extra shade.3. SMALL QUIRKS, BIG BENEFITS:Let’s be real—no product is perfect. The larger size means it’s a bit more wobbly in the wind, and if sand or moisture gets into the rotating mechanism, it can get stuck (pro tip: shake it off and dry it out after a beach day). But honestly, those little hiccups don’t outweigh how much this thing improves my outdoor experiences.4. A SHADE WORTH SHARING:I’ve even lent it to friends at outdoor events, and they always ask where to get one. It’s one of those products that makes you feel a little more prepared and comfortable when you’re outside for hours.FINAL THOUGHTS:Upgrading to the bigger Sport-Brella Versa-Brella has been such a win for me. More shade, more comfort, and still super easy to use. Whether you’re at the beach, camping, or just chilling in your backyard, this is the portable shade you didn’t know you needed—until you try it!

I bought this to add to my low beach chair for when I sit with my toes in the water while on Lake Huron (in Michigan) in August. I loved the multiple points of adjustment to get the maximum angle of coverage. The asymmetry of the umbrella itself allows you to still have an unobstructed view while sitting & watching something (which may or may not be best for other people who used it on strollers, wheelchairs or kid wagons & needed more overall coverage) but for me it’s perfect-I think the adjustment capability would have made it able to work for those needs if I had purchased it for that. I feel like the sun protection from the umbrella itself overhead is good but of course will not do anything to protect from the sun reflection on the sand (so I still was wearing sunscreen)The plastic clamp was easily adjustable, it seems reasonably durable but is at risk of being too tightly clamped & may crack at some point simply b/c the plastic isn’t the highest grade but with reasonable care & being careful not to aggressively over tighten it, it should last. The traveling case with the shoulder loop makes for easy carrying. Over all it’s a good fit for my needs & if you need portable shade option on an inexpensive traveling fold up chair this works great.

Why I haven't seen any of these advertised anywhere is a mystery. This is probably one of the best products you could buy if you are going on a day out.The umbrella is adjustable to almost any position, and the angle can be changed as the sun pans around throughout the day.It seems sturdy (ish) especially for what I paid for it, and the bracket used to fasten it to things seems very strong.Overall a brilliant purchase.

Does the job perfectly of offering just enough shade (especially for the face) whilst sunbathing on my balcony.Glad I didn’t purchase the XL as this size is just right and i love how it can be re-positioned easily in order to find the right balance of sun and shade. Would highly recommend this product.

This is a great little umbrella. Lightweight, easy to attach to your beach chair. Beware during windy days - you'll have to steady it with your hand. This umbrella gives great coverage and the navy blue is excellent blocking the sun. You can adjust it as the sun moves around to the west. It's a great find and we used it all summer. Still in good shape and didn't fade. Will use it next summer too. Recommend!!!

I bought this sport umbrella when a freak heat wave hit the San Francisco Bay Area. Temps at the SF 49ers game were forecast in the high 90's and my seat is directly in the sun at a place that is notorious for "no shade." The actual temperature in San Jose that day hit 103-degrees. The Versa-Brella worked beautifully under those extreme conditions. It provided wide, outstanding UV-protective, welcoming cool shade and, along with hydrating (of course!), I got through the 5-hour ordeal (pregame tailgate and post-game egress included) surprisingly well! My seatmate told me "That umbrella saved your ___!" It is easily adjustable to account for the day's changing angles of the sun. There is a caveat, however, which cost it a star in my opinion. Wind. While the clamp is sturdy and held the umbrella firmly in its spot, moderate winds that came late in the day caused the umbrella to easily tilt away stressing the flimsy joints that make the umbrella so versatile. There is a lot of play in the joint clips and I did not want to test how much toque they could take before they snapped, so I (wisely?) put a hand on the stem to keep it from snapping back and forth. In light winds the umbrella performed without that concern. Personally, I would not test the umbrella's sturdiness in moderate to brisk or steady winds for fear of damage to the product. But for UV-protected shade on a hot day, it met the test and more. Imagine my surprise when we noticed that people all around us had the same umbrella! That is an endorsement, of sorts. Stay cool!

well-built, quality product. I use it to work outside on the balcony on my laptop and it does the job. The clamp works well and the umbrella adjusts in so many ways that you can pretty much always get the right angle. Can be a little sticky when adjusting though. It has held up well over the summer despite being left open overnight in a very windy area. I do wish it was a little bigger but still a good purchase

Versatile, light weight, compact, easy to put up and looking at other makes is better functioning, the various adjustments are easy to use and are robust again compared with reviews I read of other rival makes. a great product and will be buying more for gifts.
