I recently purchased this reading pen and I'm very impressed. The companion app boasts a clean and clear design that makes navigation and usage effortless. One of the standout features is its automatic scanning capability (you could just simply pressing it) —there's no need to manually switch it on or off, which truly enhances the overall user experience. Even when handling very thick or bended books, where pages might not lie perfectly flat, this pen delivers reliable and accurate scans. I don’t like reading with electronic devices because I’m often easily distracted. Paper books can make people more focused. This product is really great for taking notes while reading. It can quickly pick up text content that needs to be organized!

I have been troubled by how to record the word I hi-lighted while reading until I get this reading pen. The iMark Reading Pen connects via Bluetooth to its app, making it easy to highlight and save text while reading. It’s lightweight and simple to use, with good battery life. A helpful tool for taking notes and keeping track of important details without writing everything down manually.

Growing up I've always loved reading books, and even in this digital era, I still prefer to hold a hard copy and read during commuting. However, I've always struggled to find a good way to keep my notes organized. I used to take notes in the page margins and use highlighters, but that's not easy to preserve, and it damages the books. Sometimes, I borrow books from the local library, and there is no way I could highlight those texts directly - organizing my notes for those books is even more challenging. My quest for a good note-taking solution went on for years until recently, when I discovered this digital highlighter that suddenly made everything so much easier and more convenient.The associated app is super straightforward to set up, and I like the feature that allows you to organize your highlights by book. Just enter the ISBN for each book - and you're all set! Moreover, the highlighter can recognize the text relatively precisely, and all you need to do is hold the highlighter at an angle and slowly move it along the paragraph. There is also a screen on the highlighter to provide a text preview. Even if it generates some typos, you can easily edit them in the app. The data sync between the highlighter and the app is also like a breeze. Using the highlighter to scan and save the notes that resonate with me is so satisfying, and I can’t imagine reading without it now!

The device is really cool and high tech. It feels nice and has good weight but it is not heavy. My issue is after 10 minutes of waiting and requesting verification to sign up, not a single request showed up. Without access to the app, the device is not worth using. I will keep checking and trying but I feel that with tech today, most verification is instant and 10+ minutes to receive is a bit much.

The good: Got the product, and it looks so cool, it is easy to set up with the app, simple to use. And if you are ok with using it in the app and having to access that for your quotes, then that's great.The bad: The only way you can access those quotes is through the app on your phone. I was needing something that could catalogue my quotes into a Word Doc for me to use for my doctoral research.So, if you are ok with utilizing an app, not being able to export the whole of your quotes in one go, then this is great for you. If not, I would go with something else. Will be returning it.
