Makes a nice big ice cube, added attractive ice to any drink. Easy to fill and take out. Make sure it’s level tho!

I bought this for my whiskey drinking brother-in-law for Christmas. He LOVED it! He didn't like the little ice cubes from the freezer watering down his good whiskey. The size is perfect and it melts slowly so it doesn't water down the drink. The maker is really easy to fill and the ice balls pop out easily. I'm not a whiskey drinker but I do think the balls make the drink look a little more sophisticated.

I would have preferred the cube size was a little larger but they seem well built and they do work well.

When I was in Scotland, it appeared to be the land of gin and tonics (well, also Spain!). They have an unbelievable number of craft gins. I was talking to a drink master and I said that I noticed that the good G&Ts use a single large round ice ball. He said that is the only way to make a 'proper' G&T. Well, that was good enough for me! These ice cube trays are perfect; they seal really well, don't leak, the ice balls are perfectly formed. And best of all, my G&Ts taste better!! You fill to the line, then carefully (make sure the tray is in the sink) press down the top and it will seal. Also, water will leak out, hence the need to place it in the sink. But once you have pressed down all the way, water will leak out as it fills the inside. Then you simply tip it and pour out the excess water. That's the reason you need a good seal, that these trays have. Highly recommended.

This works perfectly. No funnel needed. It makes beautiful, large round ice with a diamond pattern. Just fill with water to the provided line and carefully put on the cover. So easy and it really steps up your cocktail game!
