I had initially ordered the Ultimate Yogurt maker which promised 2 day delivery. usually items arrive early in the morning, so I prepared my half and half, L. Reuteri cultures, inulin fiber and other materials prepared for the arrival of my Ultimate. When I checked in the afternoon, it still hadn't shipped but was promised by 10. At 7PM, still hadn't shipped and still promised by 10pm. I have experienced this Amazon sam before. At 10:01, they offer you a refund if you haven't received the product in a few days. Luckily I was able to cancel the Ultimate and at 10pm, found the Lyn Torin for almost 1/2 the price WITH 4am - 8am delivery. The LynTorin arrived around 6 and I was prepared to get my L. Reuteri fermented milk underway. The product was well made, well packed and when tested was within 1/2 degree F of the set temperature of 100F. The LynTorin has exactly the same front panel, size, finish and lid at the delayed Ultimate. It has the same time range to 48 hours and same temperature range, 68F-131F, as the Ultimate. Clearly, these are both produced in the same factory with different labels, and the price difference goes to pay for the extra marketing and "paid" reviews and TV endorsements.I have sucessfully started the 36 hour ferment and after a few hours the temperature, set to 100F, is 99.7F. I am thrilled to death with this product, the money saved, the fast overnight delivery and of course, the accurate performance of the temperature control.I will post an update after the 36 hours ferment time.

I can change up the jar for larger glass Tupperware and that works just as well. The beauty about this machine is that you can set it for 36 hours, which is what I do to get maximum fermentation. It can also be set at lower temperate like 100, which is also what I do.I have been using this for months, still is working perfectly.

This machine is light, simple and does its job. I like that you can control both temperature and duration, so it allows me to fine tune the yogurt making process to my liking. Another reviewer mentioned the temperature would go crazy, but that is not my experience. I put in the 8 jars and instead of leaving air, I fill the jar container with pre-heated water to 120F (49C). This creates a bain-marie which provides for a more uniformly distributed temperature, similar to a sous-vide effect. I tested the temperatures of the water in the container several times and it differs only in 1F degree from my thermometer, so it is pretty accurate.

Was excited to make my first batch of L.Reuteri yoghurt, set timer to 106 for 36 hrs. After 24 hours I checked the temperature and found it was 130 degree, albeit the temp on machine was still at the set 106. So this totally ruined my yoghurt. I may try it again just filling the cups with water to see if it can keep the temp. Now that I just threw away the box, I can't return it anymore. Very disappointed.

This works great and keeps it consistent temperature with the small containers. I've used larger containers and found I needed to set the temperature a couple degrees lower because it tends to heat it up a little more than the temperature is set for. It's important to heat up the water and the milk in the containers to the temperature desired first before making the probiotic temperature sensitive yogurt because the machine will heat up very high until it is all heated to the correct desired temperature. I set the temperature to 100° f with the unit empty and measured the bottom of the yogurt maker with a laser gun and it reached 150° f.

We have only used it 4 times and one side of the machine is not heating properly. Otherwise, it is easy to use and does the job.

I love this little tool! I make yogurt once or twice a week. This baby dose a remarkable job of maintaining the correct temperature. I’ve recommended this to several people and they are all grabbing theirs as well! Great product!

Works good, not super accurate as far as temperature control.one end of the tray was high, one end low...measured with a lazer thermometer.so please measure for yourself,a d adjust temperature settings up or down to get best results. I did use water in this,up to about 3/4 of the way up the outside of the jars, that worked best for me. I have only done about 4 batches, but all came out good(with adjusting temperature a bit lower,as mine generally ran a bit hot.)Setting the temperature is a little tricky, read the included I structures and go quickly,or it may revert to default settings.Still,it seems a good machine if you wish to make yogurts which require different temperature settings. I suggest getting more jars,so you can make a new batch before using up all of the previous batch.

The adjustable temperature works but the timer will not and that’s the point of having it is that I can walk away for 36 hours and not worry about it Totally returning !!! This is the second yoghurt maker I’ve tried to get. First one never showed up after two months of waiting. This is getting f- in frustrating

Love this machine. I find it simple to use, it came with some recipes to get started. It is easy to clean. I have made several batches of yogurt and everyone was really good, no issues. I had to find one that has a temp control and a timer and this one has both, big plus to me.

I love the taste of fresh yogurt. This does an excellent job of making probiotic yogurt if you have an additional thermometer to make sure your device is at the right temperature. It needs to be at 107 degrees for 24 hrs. First set of yogurt was 3 degrees too hot. This set I made into pup pops. Second set I adjusted temp of machine to 104 for 24 hrs and it stayed consistent at 107. Third set I used 3 tablespoons of the previous batch as the culture to start. It was perfect!Make sure to read the instructions on this webpage. Some of them are more clear than what you will get for a manual. If it will not take your time program first time, unplug and retry again. When I first plugged it in I had to reset machine( unplug/ reset) 3 times before it actually went beyond 8 hours. I was going to return, but then on third try it worked correctly. Remember to set temperature, then time.I do a water bath when making yogurt, and the water is approx at 100 degrees when I put it in.
