About this item

  • Corrosion-resistant materials are used in all areas of the meter that come in contact with water.
  • The body of the meter and the couplings are made with a low-lead brass alloy C87850.
  • The only moving part in contact with the water flow is the impeller. This gives the meter a longer life span and also provides consistently reliable performance.
  • There is a removable filter located at the inlet of the meter body that allows for cleaning it without having to open the meter.
  • Optional pulse output consisting of plastic housing with 2-wire (red and black) reed switch and cable

I needed a NSF certified water meter for a rental. I was impressed how well it was made, solid brass alloy and it seems very accurate. It states that the only thing touching the water is the impeller, I can't see it but I think that is a good engineering design.

I perform well system inspection that include flow test. I tried the inexpensive digital flow meters but they malfunctioned numerous times so I decided to try this flow meter. It’s far more accurate, although bulkier, it’s proven to be more accurate than the cheap digital meters. It came with the proper adapters to be able to connect it to a standard garden hose.

I installed this water meter in our pump house to keep tabs on the water we will use to irrigate this summer. It was really simple to install, and the way it is designed with the threaded couplings means you can really easily remove it if it needs to be replaced. I ordered the 3/4" model, which is a slight reduction from the 1" pipe I installed it on, but it does not seem to reduce the flow rate appreciably. The accuracy seems to be more than enough for the sort of measuring i intend to do- as mentioned by another reviewer it comes with a graph that shows the % error as a function of flow, and it peaks at just over 1%. The main "odometer" part reads the hundreds of gallons, then it has a series of dials to read off the 10s, 1s, 1/10ths, and 1/100ths of a gallon. Once i hooked it up I recorded the reading, and then filled a milk jug up from a hose and got a final reading that was within a couple of 1/100ths of one gallon. Seems like it should do the trick.

Exactly as advertized. High quality build that was very easy to install. It is NSE certified and conforms with lead-free plumbing as defined by California. These certification sold me on the product because other products did not have these certifications. Using it for home automation to watch water usage and flow rates as every gallon produces a tick.It comes with 2 unions that screw into a 3/4 female pipe. The meter is easily connected between the 2 unions.

Works well, a lot of plastic in the dials but, it works and that is what I wanted.
