アウトドアーメーカーだけあって使い良い。ストーブの上で使ってます。コーヒー豆の油も出てワイルドな味を楽しめます。

循環式で多少細かいコーヒー豆が入ってしまいますが、フィルター式のコーヒーメーカと違って苦みのきいた味になります。アルミ製のものを持っていたのですが、IHに掛けられなくて購入しました。手入れが面倒ですが、私の好きなコーヒーになります。

妻がこれで淹れるコーヒーを飲みたがるようになりました。凄くおいしく飲めます。家でもキャンプでも使えますし、だいぶ便利です。こんな安く買えるなら、キャンプ用にケトルなんて買わなければよかった。

メーカーは鹿番長だかメイドインチャイナ(笑)外観の作りや仕上げは良いが中身のバスケットやストレーナーに若干のバリがある。本体のフタの蝶つがい的なものに不必要なアソビがありガタつくのが気になった。単に湯沸かしで使用しても取ってが熱くて素手では握れずムリ！何のための木製のグリップ(おまけ程度)なのか？まぁ不満ばかりだけども、コーヒーは作れるので許容範囲なのか？な？せっかくの鹿番長製品(ブランド)なのに中身も製品仕様も隣国クオリティとは、残念な感想。まぁ今の世の中、こんなもんなのか日本メーカーや製品の世界に誇れるプライドなんて過去のものなのか？淋しいねー

This is so cute! No directions came with it, so.... A lot of guessing as to the amount of coffee and heat level and how long to percolate. The coffee came out pretty strong so I'll be experimenting. As we all know, in coffee world, a cup of coffee is often measured in 6 ounces. This percolator holds 16 ounces at the 3 cup level marking. I like about a 12 ounce cup. But with percolators, I find you have to have extra water in the pot because some of it boils off. So 16 ounces of water with 5 tablespoons of freshly ground coffee on an electric range with the flame set to high. When the coffee started percolating, flame set to 3 and percolated for 7 minutes. VERY strong coffee. Less coffee needed? Less percolating time? Lower heat? We'll find out.Update: 8-1-2024 After some testing, here's my recipe for making coffee. On an electric range. Fill percolator water level to 3. Put the percolator basket in the percolator. Add 1 tablespoon ground coffee, 1 tablespoon ground decaf coffee, and 1 tablespoon ground chicory. Put the lid on the basket. Close the percolator lid. Set burner to High until you see the perc! Turn heat to 2. Perc for 4 minutes. Take the basket out with an oven mitt. Close the percolator lid. Pour the coffee! Makes about 14 to 15 ounces.I also position the percolator so the wooden handle is not over the burner at any time.

I purchased the Captain Stag Percolator 3 cup to bring on a recent vacation. It was easy to pack in my luggage, made a great cup of coffee and was easy to clean. This would be great for camping as well.

When pouring the coffee into your cup, the lid opens up a little. I didn’t have this problem when I bought chinook three cup coffee pot.I recommend you go back and do business with Chinook.

I was surprised to find the "glass" top perk window thatscrews into the top IS NOT GLASS ... IT IS PLASTIC.Hot plastic causes toxins to leach into the food//// in this casethe coffee. I use organic grown beans ... I don't know if there areglass sight windows available...

This ADORABLE little percolator is perfect for me. My daughter lives with me and makes her own coffee her way and I make my coffee my way. I recently decided to go back to an old-fashioned percolator, but wanted a small one, for just one cup of coffee. I bought, and had issues with an electric one, which I promptly threw out, mainly for my safety. I then elected to go with a stovetop peculator and found my old one stashed away in the closet. It made such good coffee, but was a 12- cup size.So, I looked and looked for a small one. When I found this, I was super excited. Well, long story short, my expectations were met TENFOLD! I love this little coffee pot. No more stupid little coffee gadgets or Kcups for me. I'm never going back! If you need a small, great coffee pot, this is for you! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The rim of the lid that goes on the filter basket is too large to go past the lid of the percolator so it lifts off the basket and grounds come out.
