After installing this product and using it for about 15 cycles of dropping baits, my downrigger fell off of the boat. The cannon mount was attatched to this swivel base with the provided hardware and on one of the retrieves of the electric downrigger fell off the boat. Upon investigation, all four mounting screws stripped out of this base. This caused the loss of the downrigger, the ball, and the releaseclip. Almost $800.00 worth of gear on the bottom of the lake. I reached out to the seller through Amazon 5 days ago and have heard nothing from them. Buyer beware....spend the extra cash and buy the cannon swivel bases. The two I have are almost 6 years old and going strong. Couldn't leave negative stars of course or I would have.
