My son and I used this aider on maybe 3 hunts. In this time 2 steps broke.

This is made out of a seatbelt-width material rather than the typical 1-inch or so nylon webbing, so it's a bit strange to clip it in a carabiner, but it works. The steps are a nice width, so that reduces foot pain.The other major thing it's lacking is some kind of rigid member at the top step, so the steps all kind of collapse together if you clip the two ends to the same carabiner at the top as you typically would.It's not really a replacement for real aiders if you want to aid climb, but I could see this being good for some backyard shenanigans or that kind of thing. It does fold up very nicely, which you can't really say for aiders with a rigid top member. Maybe it would be a good component of an emergency ascent system, though I would probably opt for something lighter and more basic like a dyneema sling.

Do not buy. Tried mine at home. I weight 175 lbs. Mine broke. The stitching came apart not a safe product.
