  • Small holds 10oz/250gr of whole bean coffee.

    Medium holds 1lb/500gr of whole bean coffee.

  • The Inner Lid that comes with the Airscape does not burp the naturally occurring C02 of coffee, but C02 is released every time you open your container.

    However, you can buy the Fresh-Port Airscape Inner Lid which burps C02 automatically!

  • Yes, you can (on top shelf of the dishwasher). But we highly recommend hand-washing to prolong the life of your product. The Airscape inner lid should always be gently hand-washed and let out to air-dry.

  • Small: Height = 140 mm. Inner Circumference = 121 mm

    Medium: Height = 170 mm. Inner Circumference = 121 mm

  • Oxygen is bad for coffee because it causes oxidation. Oxidation is a chemical process where oxygen reacts with the compounds in coffee, breaking them down and creating new compounds that are less desirable in terms of taste and aroma.

I love this canister for my coffee beans. I roast my own beans in small batches and this canister is the perfect size for about 3 to 4 days worth beans of V60 pour over. I average about 2 cups of coffee a day. If you drink more or would like to hold more days worth, then I suggest getting a larger size. There is a difference compared to when I stored my beans in a coffee bag as this canister keeps my beans much fresher giving me the nice bloom when water hits my fresh ground coffee.

I consume coffee in bags of 250gr. For some coffees, the container doesn’t have enough room left for the spoon or the lid. It is advertised with a capacity of “1/2 lb (250gr)” and that’s where the issue unfolds since 1/2lb is actually 227gr. So I think they tested against that and because of marketing they rounded up to 250gr.The container definitely doesn’t have the capacity to store 250gr of some coffee types, and even less to hold the spoon.
