This is the second purchase of this control plate to pimp out one of my basses. Good product which feels well made. The only reason for a 4/5 is they should offer the plates in two hole sizes for the smaller split shaft, and the larger (pots I use) solid shaft. I can see for those who are not well equipped tool, or skill wise, having to widen the holes being a pain.

Don't buy this if you have a higher end Jazz With the double stacked pots plus volume and pick up selector, as well as active passes selector. this thing, four holes in total for the knobs two of which should be much larger, and another fifth hole active pass toggle. I guess it's mostly my fault for assuming it would fit based on the description. It's very nice if it would've fit.

I love this piece of jewelry for my jazz bass. I installed it on my Nashville guitar co. Jazz bass looks great easy to install.

Bought this for a fender which has 1/4” shafts on pots. Only the javk slot fit. The materialthe is made from is very soft and was easy to use a small step bit drill to get the holes perfect. Overall the product looks great but not ideal for someone who does not have the tools to drill the holes out.

I love the style of this and it looks great on my Fender Jazz V.The one I received had a quality control problem: one of the four holes was only partially drilled through. The hole in question wasn’t even a hole, just an indentation where the manufacturer’s bit had almost, but not quite, made an actual hole. If not for this, I would have given it five stars.Fortunately, I have a drill press and I’m not afraid to use it. (I also drilled an additional, smaller hole for the active/passive switch. See pics.)While installing , I did note that this plate is slightly thicker than the original, so that’s a plus in my book.Overall fit was good, but ever so slightly different from the original where it meets the pick guard. Not bad, though.

This is a real robust peice. As good a quality or better then anything Fender ever produced! The design is a nice chrome and wrought iron appreance in 'relief'. It reminds me of early 1970's decor of the era. Looks best on darker basses imo, but personal preferance.Guitar tech 30yrs

Has a nice, solid heft to it, not some chintzy thin metal at all. Detail in the design is very nice. One thing to consider is if you are using pots with 1/4" shafts (I think 6.3MM?) you will need to drill out the three holes. This is no big deal and took all of 30 seconds for all three.
