I own several of these now. I’ve owned others from other brands and they aren’t in the same league. They reject outside noise which is a must where I live. The lights are perfect for illuminating my gear which is hard enough to see under normal circumstances. I’ve spent so much on my gear, I can’t imagine using a different power conditioner or power strip.

This thing is slick as hell. Five of the eight AC connections on the back have liberal spacing for wall warts, and the other three are spaced appropriately for typical IEC connections. I keep my iPad charged off the front port and the pullout lamps are great since I try to keep my studio a little dark and vibey.I live in an older house with kinda sketchy power, so knowing that my expensive studio stuff is being protected from surges and provided with regulated power by this unit brings me peace of mind. As my gear collection grows, I'll absolutely buy another one of these.

“Know what you are buying” this is a rack mountable power strip at best! Before you buy check joule rating, filtering (EMI - RFI) these units have neither. All printed material says switched outlet front it’s un-switched, painted on the unit switched outlet. Called to speak to black lion rep who seemed aloof and ignorant to their own product, I wanted to know if this unit was wired correctly because I had power at the front switch without the unit being switched on which is clearly marked switched outlet. The aloof rep stated it in fact was an un-switched plug and after years of selling these units he was sure I was mistaken there was no way the box, website, and the unit itself all said switched outlet. “See photo” when asked about filtering he seemed confused as to which filtering the pg-x and pg-xlm offered. He said I know it offers one filtering I don’t know about both no wait it has wima capicitors so yea it has both filtering capabilities. smh I give them no stars zero. I was looking to protect my gear new qsc’s 12.2 the art ps4x4 pro usb was on back order so in the same price range I purchased two so called power conditioners from black lion. I am not sure how these units are studio grade power conditioners. I am very unhappy with this purchase and would advise against any company that would just slap there name on a unit because of a small reputation they have built with other more legit products. I bought a surge protected power strip a few years ago that has a higher joule rating than these units I think I paid $12 for it.If you want to clean your stage up and free it from power strips and run your cords back to a rack, this will accomplish that without the filtering protection offered by competitors at same price range. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 It’s five thumbs down for me a waste of $320
