I love this tajine pot for its beauty and for making my limited cooking so easy. As I keep cooking chores to a minimum, but still want to eat healthy, this pot is perfect. Being a vegetarian, I throw in a bunch of different vegetables and let simmer for one hour or less until everything is tender. The tajine is made of cast iron, but not too heavy, and its shape acts as a steamer. I just add a bit of water at the bottom to avoid scorching, and sometimes a veggie sauce of some kind and herbs for variety. Everything comes out delicious with no effort involved. When starting to boil, the liquid inside tends to splatter from under the lid's edges. To avoid that, a rolled paper towel placed at the edge between the lid and the bottom works really well to absorb that moisture. I would rate the tajine 5 stars if it was not for a tiny defect I noticed in the enamel (bare round spot about 3mm wide) at the top of the lid. It does not affect the effectiveness of the pot; it's just that the manufacturer should be more meticulous in making sure that the product is perfect before putting it up for sale.

Got this after seeing YouTube videos on travel in Morocco. This is the next best thing to a ceramic authentic tagine. More durable and easier to keep clean. Made some delicious Moroccan Chicken and it was so easy I used it again immediately afterward to make a meal for friends. Everyone loved the taste of the chicken with couscous, carrots, peas and olives with cumin and turmeric seasoning, Leave it to cook for an hour and you have a tasty meal.

I picked this up as a replacement tagine to one that cracked/shattered. What I liked about it was it’s material, or being ‘indestructible’ compared the last one we had. This is solid and I have no concerns about putting it over direct flame, oven, or even on coals on the grill.Made a few great dishes with it and will continue to use it for a lifetime because it’s cast iron.

Even though it cooks well, I was disappointed as a used pot, I received it as dirty

We have used this tagine many times since we received it as a gift a few weeks ago. Love everything about it - only downside is that it is very heavy - which is good for cooking but not if you have weak arms. I highly recommend it for cooking - we have used it not only for Moroccan recipes but also for frying bacon, onions & potatoes, etc. 5 star

Best pot I have ever owned. This is my third one ín 44 years. A gift from a friend who gave me money 💜. I have made soup, stew, stir fry, fried chicken, fried potatoes, fried green tomatoes and bacon, grilled cheese and pizza and French toast and I never take it off the stove top except to put it in the oven. Do yourself a favor, just pick a fun color and buy it.

I can’t believe I didn’t take a picture ! Next time ! I made my first Tagine tonight. This Tagine was great . I may have added s little too much water but the sauce reduced perfectly. The only problem was the lid did not fit perfectly so a little water was “ spitting “ out of the side . When I reduced the heat it stopped and will not add so much liquid next time .The chicken was incredibly tender and the flavors were awesome. The potatoes and carrots cooked quickly. I used chicken thighs for my first Tagine and I will be making a lamb Tagine next . I ordered Ras Al Harnout spice on line but wasn’t exactly the mix I wanted . I lived in Morocco so I have some spices coming. IThis is an awesome piece of cookware for the price ! I would not hesitate to buy it !
