I’m experimenting with North African dishes and needed a tagine. I used it recently for the first time, making a dish with chicken, merguez sausage, ras el Hanout-like spices, along with chopped veggies and garbanzo beans. It was a generous size, a nice weight, and cleanup was a snap. P.S. The dish was delicious!

Looks nice so it’s able to be left out on a shelf without looking terrible. Used once so far, worked great!!

This nonstick tagine pot is lightweight yet high quality, and I successfully cooked a delicious tagine in it for my first time! The chicken was tender and perfectly cooked, and the sauce retained all its moisture. The lid has a small hole for steam to escape, but it does an excellent job of preventing excess steam from escaping, which is ideal for slow cooking. I also cooked a Thai chicken curry in it, and it came out great—the chicken was juicy, the vegetables were tender, and the flavors were beautifully infused. I didn’t need a heat diffuser for either recipe, and the pot performed flawlessly. The tagine is a stunning red, and it looks gorgeous on my stovetop, matching my other red accessories in a black-and-chrome kitchen. Its design adds an authentic flair while being modern and functional. While I haven’t used a traditional clay tagine for comparison, this pot seems much easier to operate and clean. I’ve read that clay tagines can crack without a diffuser, but this nonstick version eliminates that worry entirely.I do wish the pot had heat-resistant handles, as all parts of the tagine get very hot during use. I used my own pot holders but haven’t tried the ones included. The lightweight design makes it easy to handle, and the nonstick surface made cleaning a breeze—just a simple hand wash was all it took. This tagine pot is an excellent value compared to more expensive options. It performs wonderfully, is easy to use and clean, and looks fantastic in a modern kitchen. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try their hand at making tagine, Thai curry, or other slow-cooked dishes!

Admittedly, we haven't used this as a tagine yet, hopefully we'll give that a try soon. But as to the pan itself, I love it. It heats up evenly and makes frying foods easy. Best of all, it cleans up so easily. We've had this pan for about five months now and it still cleans up as easily as it did after the first use. It looks as fresh as when we first got it. I am suitably impressed.
