Clip could not adjust line tension. Adjustment dial would only turn a quarter of inch and extremely hard to turn. It also had no effect on tension.

Used it to replace the original parts that come with my Cannon Down Rigger. Works great! The original got where it would not hold the line.

I BOUGHT FOUR OF THESE. THEY WORK FINE, BUT IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO GAGE HOW TIGHT TO PUT THE LINE IN. IT TOOK SEVERAL TESTS TO SEE IF YOU COULD PULL IT FREE FROM THE BALL, OR IF THE FISH COULD BEFORE YOU KNEW WHICH NOTCH TO PUT THE IT ON. I THINK THEY ARE ALL THE SAME, BUT FOR A NEWBY A VIDEO WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL ON UTUBE (FROM CANON OR ANYONE ELSE).

I loved this item and highly recommend it. The material is a strong plastic. The release has enough pressure to do the job and works well when fish is on.
